I want to eat Tilapia every day but the internet tells me it's bad. What's a reasonable weekly allotment?

0 ounces of Tilapia per week
They literally grow them in sewer water
It's just tasteless fish
>>

Yep, this. If you are so desperate for cheap protein, eat more rice and beans. It's a complete protein and it's cheap as fuck.
>>
Not OP, but anyone have some recs for good frozen fish that aren't tilapia?

I moved recently. Used to be I had frozen fish (largemouth bass and brim; and red snapper, mackerel, yellowfin, and trigger fresh from when dad went saltwater fishing) for free to pamper me. Now I live too far away.

They have good fresh salmon out here but that is about it. What should I get?

Does this sound like a case of a picky eater?

There's no mention abut flavor or anything weird.

Just that it's "icky."

Is the picky eaters phenomenon a class thing? I've never known anyone from an affluent, cultured family to be a picky eater. I think it's just a case of being brought up in poverty or isolation that makes people this neurotic about food and scared of trying new things
>>
>>7645620

Absolutely. Pad see ew and drunken noodles both use those wonderful wide rice noodles. She didn't even complain about the taste, just the texture.
>>
>>7645645
mostly, yes. inb4 some flyover says their classmate is picky and owned an apple brand smart phone and wore hollister (or whatever middle class flyover kids wear these days), therefore she is "affluent cultured people"

Hello /ck/oockers.
Today I will cook chicken curry.
I, and you too if you want to make it someday, will need (for two people):

500gm of chicken
250 of moshrooms
100 gm of rice (try not to use the rice that dont get sticky, use a good rice, bastami rice is recommended)
25gm of almonds
250ml of cocconunt milk
1 garlic tooth
Olive oil

For the curry paste:
A piece of cinnamon
1gm of turmeric
1gm of ginger
2gm of curry

If you want to prepere your own coconut milk you will need chopped coconut and water.
You just have to boil thw water, every 1 cup of chopped coconut you will need 2 cups of water. After the water is boiled, add it to the coconut and then use a mixer for five minutes. After that you have to strain the coconut. Or you can buy a bottle of coconut milk but its a lot more expensive.

Pic related is chicken curry that I've made a while ago, but today i will use another recipe.

Checkin' this thread.
Curry is always best when there's coconut milk in the sauce.
>>
First at all, I prepare the curry paste. To do it I just put the cinnamon, the curry, the garlic tooth, the turmeric and the ginger in a mixer and then I mix it.

Pic related is the final result

>>7645259
I will start to cook in about half an hour. I'm preparing all that I need first. I hope that the final result goes well, it's the first time I try this recipe.

>>
Potatoes and corn. Wrap in foil and throw on the side of the fire
>>
>>7645157
Enough food for when catching dinner doesn't work out like you plan. Cast iron and some corned beef hash for sure.

Ever had 'em?
Favourite way to prepare them?

I like them boiled, with a simple butter sauce or hollandaise and some cooked ham and boiled eggs on the side

When I boil them I like to first boil the peels and then reuse the water every time I eat white asparagus during asparagus season.

>>
>>7645159
White asparagus are not bitter at all. The water just gets an intensive white asparagus flavour.

After using the water a lot of times, I make soup with it.
>>
>>7645169
Intense I mean, sorry.

Here is the wiki info:
Compared to green asparagus, the locally cultivated so-called "white gold" or "edible ivory" asparagus, also referred to as "the royal vegetable",[15] is less bitter and much more tender.

Pistachios are definitely the best nut. In fact, it's one of the only 3 nuts worth eating on its own with some salt, alongside cashews and almonds.

brazil nuts

Peanuts?

But I agree, pistachios are the best.

Would love to try to make pistachio ice cream at some point

Hey there,

Supposed to be slicing radishes right now, but need a quick guide to banh mi.
I'm using ground pork and feel good about additions and spices.
I'm gonna grill them, I think.
I'm using potato hamburger buns.
I've got carrots, breakfast (red/French) radishes and cukes. I need to marinate them. I'm gonna start slicing right now.
What I'm hoping for is what to dress them in. I've seen water and cider vinegar, white vinegar, and rice vinegar. I've seen 2 Tb of sugar and 1/2 cup.

It probably doesn't matter too much, but I'm curious if you have a pickled veg marinade that you swear by.

Potato hamburger buns?
Nigga it's not a banh mi if you don't have that crusty flaky baguette.
Vinegar, sugar, garlic and salt. Fish sauce for excitement.
