Dim Sum > Sushi
disagree fight me
i feel bad for the guy who has to clean all those dishes and bamboo steamers.
you're dirtying a dish just for 3 bite-sized morsels. kinda strange.

>Dim Sum > Sushi
Entirely different. Dim Sum is great fun with a group. Sushi is more of a date night kind of thing.
Dim Sum is just tapas that white people jizz themselves over because it comes from the Mysterious Orient.
Lets cook some shrimp pasta. I made this recipe up and usually use it with fish but used some shrimp today; good shit, ok.
First we put spices on the shrimp.
pepper
paprika
oregano
>>7119371
Next what we do is
put some canola oil in pan with some fresh chopped ginger and garlic.
Let that cook for a little then add some red thai curry paste.
then you add some white whine or beer, I used bud lite lime this time because that's what I had.
then add some milk and sugar.
>>7119380
Add some butter, squeeze half of lemon, and add parmesan as well and let it reduce a bit, then add the shrimp and cover for 7 or so minutes.
>>7119385
Shrimps cooked.
What do you boys do for hot chocolate around here? Anyone make their own? How should I go about it?
>>7119344
>milk
>dark chocolate, or better yet baking cocoa
>if cocoa a little bit of sugar
>cream
Heat, stir.
>>7119344
i-i'm not a boy. i'm a m-man.
>water and cocoa powder
>bit of milk
I also mostly use like one spoon of the stuff instead of three, I always found it way too sweet otherwise.
What is /ck/s opinion of pic related?
he needs a heavy cut desu.

What a goofy looking dude
I've gotten pretty good at eliminating a lot of extra salt from my diet, but I'm having trouble with sugar. It's absolutely everywhere.
A single apple, and that's basically it for the day. I eat the most blandest cereals for breakfast just so I can afford to snack a bit in the afternoon.
I love how convenient oat bars are, but the majority of them are basically candy, it's terrible.
What do you guys do?
>>7119185
>avoiding processed carbs
>eats boxed cereal
Fruit is good for you. Fruit isn't "sugar".
berries and cherries are pretty low sugar.
>>7119199
>Fruit is good for you. Fruit isn't "sugar".
literally full of fructose, as well as glucose occasionally sucrose.
Is there anything wrong with leaving my cast iron pans inside the oven, WHILE I USE THE OVEN?
it's probably bad.
i don't have any proof, but i just have a feeling it's bad.
all the steam from the cooked food. the constant heating, then cooling. it's gotta have some toll on the seasoning.
>>7119156
Why not just take it out?
>>7119183
Maybe he accidentally left it in.
Going here for the first time in a few. What should I get?
Directions to he nearest Popeyes.
Sipcy chicken sandwich u nig.
Something that won't make you ask what to get at a fucking fast food place
What does /ck/ think of ramsays prison tour?
>>7118978
>teaching convicted felons how to cook and run a business when they're paroled.
So culinary school 30 years ago?
Pro-bono vocational school run by one of the greatest Chefs to ever exist?
>mfw
I know people who have wanted to be a chef for years. These guys kill someone and they get trained by one of the best in the world. Seems shitty.
i found it very interesting that british prisoners are mostly black too
Why aren't these around anymore, /ck/?
>>7118957
because niggers
Progressive politicians spent decades trying to make alcohol hard to purchase
One of the bars at the university I attended had one of those cigarette vending machines. I always got a kick out of seeing that.
Hello /ck/, today I'm gonna make some uni student tier /fit/ tuna patties. Here are the main ingredients.
>/fit/ tuna patties
>making /fit/ retards think they could cook since 2010
First I cracked the eggs in a bowl, opened the tuna and drained the juice out, then put it in the bowl along with some other spices. Next I'm going to add flour until I can reach a nice sort of firm texture
I added a bit more than half a cup of flour and to make the right consistency. Before i start making the patties, i started to heat up some oil in a pan. Now for the optional, slightly unhealthy part. I put some mozzarella in the middle of them and I'm about to cover the middle up before I put it in the pan.
Hey /ck/, I found a sloppy recipe for crepes (planning on adding nutella). I wanted to know if it sound good enough? Has anybody ever made crepes? Any tips?

I was a child when that green shit in a can was on the shelves, as an adult I'll never understand why my parents let me put that poison into my body.
Ugh.
>>7118866
but it is tasty poison
What are some simple foods that you can send to a college student having trouble getting more than one meal a day?
Preferably things that don't need much preparation, if possible; I'd offer recipes and grocery lists, but dorm restraints make that seemingly impossible or at the very least unlikely.
A unconnected but related question: How difficult would it be to ship some homemade soup?
>>7118818
>dorm
Were they not required to get a meal plan?
>>7118818
freeze and pack in dry ice? i guess it all depends on how far you're shipping it and what kind of shipping you're paying for.
>>7118821
>eating OCB tier food everyday.
I had to eat it 4 times over our 2 day orientation and I got sick of it after the first time
What did you do with your leftover turkey?
I made soup.
turkey and stuffing sandwich all day every day
>>7118847
You I like.
Sup co/ck/do/ck/ers, what do you do with your thanksgiving leftovers? Be it the humble sandwich with miracle whip, or something a little more involved, what's your go-to-dish.
Also, with all the carcass broth made yesterday, anyone got a great recipe for turkey noodle soup?
>>7118769
oh yeah, I forgot, /ck/ doesn't cook anymore, just shitposts memes, fast food, and youtube "celebrities."
>>7119236
Well you started this shitty thread by shitposting in literally the second word of the OP, and then continued your shitposting by talking about miracle whip and then asking for a recipe.
So see yourself back to /v/
>>7119265
Are you literally retarded?
>saying how they eat something and asking for recipes is shitposting
>on a food and cooking board
No wonder I no longer browse this shitty place.
