Thief is great, but it has it's flaws, and there are a lotof really good stealth games. I would say that you can't really pick an absolute best stealth game. Same with any genre really.

Why is violence and gore okay but sex and nudity not?
I can understand it being extreme when combined, but sex and nudity on its own is still largely withheld, which is baffling to me.

Because the violence and gore campaign failed. So the people that hate video games found a new subject to harp on one they realized they couldn't end video games with the violence arguement. They are losing this new one also.

To answer your question you asked, there are instant 70 servers ranging from Smolderforge to Corecraft test server. If rates are your primary criteria, you could also set up the server yourself (Hellground Core probably is the best) and adjust the rates to whatever values you'd like.

My mom broke her arm recently. Why is this related to /v/? Her only escape from the ugly life with my father is Animal Crossing: New Leaf. She has logged 2500 hours in this game and since she broke her arm she can't play anymore. I see her depressed and not being able to distract herself from her mostly immobile state.

It's a deus ex machina but it's a well designed one, there was no other way to solve the "brother can shift his body through timelines" plothole from VLR without breaking the morphogenetic field rules. It's not the best, but it's far from shit.
