Let's play a game, /v/.
Assume this roster is real. With what we have:
Step 1: Go through the roster, and for every character introduced in Smash Bros 64 that you like or are okay with, add 1 point.
Step 2: For every character added in Smash Bros 64 that you do not like, subtract 1 point.
Step 3: For every character added in Smash Bros Melee that you like or are okay with, add 2 points.
Step 4: For every character added in Smash Bros Melee that you do not like, subtract 2 points.
Step 5: For every character added in Smash Bros Brawl that you like or are okay with, add 3 points.
Step 6: For every character added in Smash Bros Brawl that you do not like, subtract 3 points.
Step 7: For every newcomer that you like or are okay with, add 4 points.
Step 8: For every newcomer you do not like, subtract 4 points.

Then,
Step 9: For up to 6 characters that you are very excited about returning or being introduced in the game, add 3 points for each (18 points possible).
Step 10: For up to 6 characters that you wished didn't return or you wish weren't newcomers, subtract 3 points each (-18 points possible.)
Step 11: For up to 3 characters that you wished had made it into the game but didn't, subtract 1 point for each character (-3 points possible.)
Step 12: Find the sum of your points.
Maximum points possible: 143
Minimum points possible: -146
