I'm supposed to buy this game, somehow rationalize hatred for this man who quite possibly just saved my life, run away to join a rebel organization that i know almost nothing about and willingly fuck with a man who has made it clear he does not tolerate insubordination and treason. For what? Your mother loved this man enough to have a child with him. Your biological "father" killed your fucking sister. If anything the rebels should be the bad guys in the protagonists mind. This entire game's premise is illogical. You should be able to side with the dictator to quell this terrorist rebellion, the fact that you can't is the reason i'm not buying this game, and to take it a step further why would i want to play the game after seeing this? It's blatently obvious to anyone that this "dictator" is the voice of reason in this third world shit hole. The only thing i can really fault him for is murdering his subordinate, but that isn't really the main character's problem. The man clearly has issues but he never wronged the main character in any significant way to justify his wanting to assassinate him, his father on the other hand has committed an unforgivable act of betrayal by murdering his sister".
How can you defend this and the lack of option to join this guys side?
