I personally spend lots of money on virtual TF2 items myself, so I'm not in the best position to judge an 8 year old's virtual expenses. But... JESUS CHRIST is that game making money hand over fucking fist from retarded children and appeasing parents. It's insane, unfathomable. To put this whole thing into perspective imagine how the typical character skin for Minecraft is. Now, edit that however you please and pretend you can sell it. BOOM. You just made 60 bucks in one hour. Now try again but really try to fuck it up and make your design blatantly shit. You just made 90 bucks.
I asked his father just what the fuck was the appeal and he said he didn't know. But he was concerned that his son bought a really rare item and traded it for one quarter of what he paid for it minutes after getting it because he's buying items purely on impulse with little thought to what he's getting. Again, imagine unboxing an unusual in TF2 and then selling it for 2 craft hats just because you liked the other designs better.

So I'm playing through Dark Souls to prepare myself for bloodborne, since everybody keeps raving about how difficult and dark and original this game is.
I'm almost done with Undead Parish, and so far I've seen -
- Skeletons
- Generic Black Night with a massive sword
- Giant Rats
- Skeletons with shields
- Gargoyles
- Slightly bigger Skeletons with shields
- And a fucking fire-breathing dragon
So far I've been enjoying the combat but how long until the bossfights + enemies actually get interesting? Everybody always talks about how unique and masterful this game is, but so far it's just been generic fantasy tropeland, complete with "quirky" NPCs with a dark sense of humour.

The game goes a lot of places. Undead Parish is sort of the tutorial. You're gonna love it when you go to Blighttown.
