I like 1 and 2 equally but for different reasons. 3 is also amazing but a little less since it recycles a bit much from the first two.
1 is more like pure WTF terror
2 is a lot more nuanced and has a better overall atmosphere of dread.

Because its not a Bioshock game, its just a shooter game with few interesting characteristics.
Usually when people say games like these are shit they really mean this game is okay but it's way too overrated.
If Bethesda games weren't so main stream there would be less hate surrounding it.

One route will take 4-6 hours depending on your reading speed. There's 18 endings to get and route branches at the 4th and 6th chapters for a total of around 26 different chapters. It's not a game where you're just meant to do one playthrough and then be done with it.

It isn't just "outfits", you mostly get pieces to wear instead. There are outerwear, tops, bottoms, legwear, footwear, headware, facewear, neckwear, armwear, other (back), hairstyle, and skin colour categories, each with varying amounts of stuff to unlock and mix and match. For example, I have 38 tops unlocked, and most items have several different colour / pattern options. There's also an outfit category which is specific unique outfits covering varying category slots, but usually everything that isn't accessories. I've got 43 outfits unlocked. I'm also still missing some, based on the remaining achievements, and I haven't gotten shoot 27 yet. In any case, there's a lot, so if you like dress-up it's great for that.

To my knowledge, it has to do with few moving parts for the consoles or a thick enough shell to prevent breakage.
As for the handhelds, all of them are required to be able to endure a 6 foot drop before the design is accepted.

You do not need more than 20 abilities. 25 max. I would rather have 20 abilities that are engaging, fun and utilized opposed to 30 - 35 abilities of filler crap that are situational and dull.
I'm happy that some classes only use like 5 active main attack and the rest are buffs

My own idea for a horror video game
>Open World
>There's a serial killer on the loose
>Game is about you investigating the murders of the serial killer
>No radar, no le epic exp points, no le epic skill trees or any of that nonesense
>You have to rely on your own notes and your own intuition to solve the mystery of the serial killer
>the more you investigate the more you begin to attract the attention of the serial killer
>further down the line you reach a point where you have peaked the killer's interest
>killer's AI is entirely dynamic, he might break into your home whether you're there or not and if he does break in when you're not there you will only notice if you are really paying attention and notice certain small changes around your house
>each night you have to choose whether to sleep or to remain awake in case the killer decides to come
>staying awake for too many days will begin to take a toll on your sanity
I've had this idea for a while. The technology to make this happen is probably non-existent but I think its a nice break from the tired le spooky ghost shit in horror video games.

All you would need is a good coder/programmer. What you described isn't really anything fancy or difficult.
Difficult to do alone, sure.
The overall idea is too slow and placeless for a horror game though. It sounds more like a walking sim but later in the game you can suddenly die while sleeping.
