So, /v/, convince me why I should be hyped for Xenoverse 2. The first one was pretty mediocre and was a broken mess. Seeing the gameplay footage of the second game, I see that a lot of issues have been ironed out, but it still hasn't grabbed my attention.
It looks to be another rehashed game, but with a slight boost in graphics. Hell, they're even reusing the same boring music from levels like the Kai planet, which is just pure laziness. The combat system and fighting seem as casual and shallow as before (you literally just hold right trigger and a button for any move which is casual as fuck). They're also rehashing the same, tired DB story yet again with slightly variations. I really doubt this game will get over a 72 overall score out of 100.

They're fixing the biggest issues with XV1, the complete bullshit RNG and Super Saiyan Ki Spamming.
New characters from movies like Cooler, Slug and Turles. Characters that should be in the game like Dodoria and Zarbon, 19&20 and hopefully the forms of Super Buu that were missing.
They're fleshing out all of the races to make them even more distinct.
They're making a lot more "What-If" stories that we'll take part in, instead of just watching it happen in cutscenes.

How the shit did this piece of garbage get a sequel? Every single fucking thing knocks you off your feet and then stun locks you. Some enemies hit spots are incredibly small and hard to hit. Mech vs mech battles are staffing and then a DPS race.
The explosions are fucking insane. The smoke lasts a good five or six seconds and literally has no opacity to it obscuring the battle field. The main character moves at a pace akin to a fucking snail and the only worthwhile weapon worth using on foot is the laser weapons. The hook shot is the length around 8 feet and when you latch onto something you then jump like a retard upwards.
The character models are pretty lack luster for the time and the music is literally one of the most bland I've ever heard.
How the fuck did this game get a sequel that was so well received?

The Adventures of Mana vita remake just showed up on psn and I've been playing it.
