Cataclysm was a very succinctly named xpac.
Grind2win is just an outdated model that doesn't work with modern gamers nowadays. BWL itself wasn't that difficult, getting the gear/consumables to go was probably a bigger challenge for most players.

Obsidian could be making another game like Fallout:NV (Not Fallout ofc cause Bethesda fucking hate them now cause they realised Obsidian is better) but instead they keep making Pillars of Eternity shit. I played this when I was like 12 and never played blood omen 1 (but I did play soul reaver) and I thought it was good. What was so bad about it anon? It's been more than a decade so I don't remember it being bad. I liked the vampire powers and the environment design and atmosphere were top notch.
