Can I play Bioshock Infinite without Bioshock 2 ? I only played Bioshock 1 (which would be called just Bioshock), and Im pretty sure 1 & 2 are eintertwined but is the 3rd part plot related to previous parts ?
Yep. Bioshock Infinite doesn't even really tie into Bioshock 1 or 2.
Infinite is only tangentially related to the first game.
Nothing in the second game is ever brought up in Infinite, if I recall.
Infinite has nothing to do with any other Shock game, besides some easter eggs. But you shouldn't play Infinite, it's shit, play 2 instead, it's good.

shit game. the combat is inexcusable and the level design is one of the worst, Vivec especially. also cliffracers. This is not a debate.
Something I never got about this game. When you rest, if you're outside the box says "Resting here is illegal. You'll need to find a bed". And yet there is absolutely no consequence for resting outside. The guards never stop you for it. So why does it say that?

So this thing is just fucked. I open it and now it's at 50% speed with 60 fps. If i speed it up, it goes down to 8 fps. I've tried messing with the throttle thing but that only makes shit worse. It's playable at 50%speed but I don't want to play at 50% of the original game speed. It's like this for all games I play.
Tl;dr the base game speed is at 50% pls help me fix it

It didn't fix the biggest problem in Skyrim, the shitty combat. The voice actors are great, and the story was probably good too, but I quit after an hour because the combat still is horrible.

if you quit after an hour then you have literally no experience with the game.
The combat is as basic as Skyrim's when you start out because you have literally no abilities that you gain later through the skill-trees.
There is an ability for the light-armor class that allows you throw oil on the ground and make enemies slip and slide. You can also inflame it with fire spells or fire arrows. There is the possibility to stop time in the ranger tree or blink in the Infiltrator tree.
Basically my experience was that the combat was off-putting at first because it has the same issues as Skyrim but improves vastly over time when you start to get abilities in trees. It kind of reminds me of Dark Messiah of Might & Magic a little bit because a lot of abilities seem to be inspired by it. Also a little bit of Dishonored with the teleport and the time stopping.
It's pretty good. It feels a lot tighter than Skyrim, doesn't have you do as much running around, doing nothing of consequence. I suppose on that ground you might accuse it of having less exploration but really, the philosophy of "you can go anywhere, anytime" is what ruins most open world games.
The locations are, in my opinion, more visually interesting, the writing is not necessarily very strong but it has a lot more personality than Skyrims and the german voice acting is actually really consistently could.
I recommend it. You won't get a better RPG for free.
