How so?
As a seasoned player of the Souls series, I see myself as an expert in video gaming and feel as though I can master almost any game, if not come really close to it.
This game is absolutely bullshit though. It has the most artificial difficulty in the game and I'm pretty sure people only play this so they have "gamer cred"
I can't get past HR 7 monsters without dying at least twice, sometimes I get one shot. Tigrex is impossible to kill without dying at least once and his spin attack is impossible to dodge as well. Fuck this artificial difficulty shit.

Why is this even being made? Tactical shooters won, no one wants this arena shit now. It's over. These games never evolved the genre and stagnated into bunnyhopping tourneyfag shit. This game is gonna be dead on arrival. Unless they plan on overhauling it and adding basic modern mechanics like a cover system, sprinting, and parkour, what's the damn point?

How do people even do nowadays with just consoles and no more cockpit-esque joystick+keyboard?
Is there really no stuff like "lock in power to rear shields and admnister if you can manage to lose shooting etc" no more? I get it that easy manuevering without administring stuff and user-friendliness is a plus and sells more but that shit used to be great.
I believe the rogue squadron games were the last Star Wars flight games, but those were fairly casual as I recall.

I'm sorry but action-based combat in RPGs is fucking shit.
People say it's not, but it is. There is no real skill required. It is not fun or difficult or anything like that. Most of the time it comes down to basically button mashing.
On the other hand, a solid turn-based combat system like the Grandia or Trails games will be much deeper and more tactical than anything an action-based combat system could ever be. It's really not even close.
When did you realize that action-based combat is shit for lowest common denominator plebs?

Any beginner guides out there for Blazblue Chrono Phantasma Extend? How steep is the learning curve? I wanted to get competitive in an actual fighting game so bought this on PS4 after playing my friends at Smash almost weekly.

Going through the tutorial and some of the basic Challenge Mode combos will at least give you a feel for how the characters play.
