You have to admire Monolith Soft for being ambitious & determined & not taking the easy route & sticking to the tried & true (looking at you Tales of)
Name another JRPG dev who has the determination & ambition to craft a JRPG that boasts a gigantic seamless open world, extensive character build customisation, giant rideable mechs, and a whole other marriage of gameplay systems. XCX is easily one of the best RPGs of 2015.
And the next Xeno- will again be one of, if not the best, RPGs.

I wouldn't guess at actual numbers, but it's not like the calm, collected, mild-mannered devs get the press, backdraft, and general attention the asshole ones do.

Overwatch is absolute casual garbage and I have no idea how anyone can think its fun. There is zero execution required to perform any of the mechanics. It's like if they made all the commands in Street Fighter into dedicated buttons. If nobody can fuck up the execution of an ability, there's zero skill gap between players.
The only differing factor is aim, but aim is a factor in every FPS ever. There's literally no reason to play Overwatch because you'll master it within two hours of playing it.

-everybody using the same equipment among 30ish viable items

-nothing is 'optimal' so everything is viable in one way or another
-everybody using unique equipment
-no two opponents are the same
-less serious, more fun

Soul memory kills the lifespan of populated multiplayer, both co-op and pvp.

Or alternatively, have a system that counts up the total soul value of all your equipped items' upgrades, or if not souls, perhaps even uniquely assigned values relative to their power, and matchmake purely by that + levels like in the other Souls games (preferably with the very wide level spread of Bloodborne).

If you want to understand the world, characters and story, play them in order. They are proper sequels.
All 3 are good, but a bit different.
The first game uses a modified NWN module and it plays more like a top down RPG than an action game. Personally I loved it, but people used to Dodge Souls sometimes complain that it's not action-y/twitchy enough.

BF 4 was ok.
Hardline had potential but they fucked up vehicles and needed more content.
Star wars was just bait nostalgia fags who should have noticed from day 1 the game was completely different from the original series.
Battlefield series is gonna die.
