Are there really people who don't think Mass Effect 1 is the best game in the series?

2 is just better. The equipment was better in 1 but that's about it.
For a long time I've wanted to play through the entire Final Fantasy series in order, from 1 to 9.
What are the best versions of each game?
I'd rather stick mostly to the originals, but if a remake is objectively better I'll play that version.
Is it better to play the origins version of 1 and 2 or the NES/Famicom versions?
PSP version of 1-2 are objectively best. But FF1 NES still has its charm and works fine.
FF2 had a somewhat broken system, fine if you know what you're getting into but I wouldn't recommend it. It works a bit like SaGa games but it's an ancient version of the system.
For 3 I still prefer the NES version, but that's just me. Not much into those 3D remakes.

for 4 go for the psp version as well, it's the best version and close to the original with simply updated sprites, bonus content, and a proper translation -- unless you want the 3D remake
US snes version was based on an easytype version and lacks items/moves and bad translation, also much .. well easier. PSP FF4 (and even moreso the original SFC version) can actually be a decent challenge on max speed.
For 5 I never played the GBA version, but it's supposedly best for it, but needs a patch to fix crappy sound. Personally only did snes+translation, which was fine imo.
As someone who dropped DA2 before she came back and never played DA:I, I have to ask; Was there any reason that Gaider completely invalidated your choice to kill her?
Was there some particularly special function that she served that could in no way be fulfilled by anyone else?
I ask because it seems pretty pants on head retarded to not simply replace her with another character that fulfills a similar role, like ME2/3 did, unless she is absolutely vital to the plot.
I understand that with bioware being bioware it was probably initially just an oversight they were too lazy to fix, but was there any hint of another motive?

Well she gets a pretty central role in dai and i can see why they would not want the extra work of having two different central characters depending on a choice in the first game.
But i think that they should have thought about that before letting you kill her in the first one if they wanted to bring her back so desperately.

From what I've heard they tried to explain this fuck up in the last DAI DLC. That she was sent by the Maker to help the Inquisitor.......it's still bullshit.

Btw I'm around Blood Level 100 and the weapons I'm currently using are the Chikage and Blades of Mercy.
Get the timing for parrying her down. She can be parried in each phase of the fight so if you got that you should be good.

Honestly the big thing that riles me up with the localization is Forrest's paralogue and supports with Leo.
The entire paralogue Leo's calling his son a disgrace and shit for the way he was dressing. The entire time I'm thinking they're gonna pull a fast one and have it be because he thinks Forrest has shitty fashion taste. But no, they really DID play the "NO SON OF MINE GONNA BE QUEER" thing straight.
