The method for summoning personas in P3 is inducing so much stress on oneself that your persona comes out to protect you, but somehow Fuuka doesn't need to do that for some reason.

When does Trails in the Sky become good? I've heard it's about a 40 hour game, I'm 7 hours in and literally nothing is happening. You've got your fledgling edgelord Joshua and memeworthy Estelle as main characters, mountains of dialogue for NPCs but nobody has anything interesting to say, boring "adventure guild" Bracer lore and the game has absolutely failed to sell me on the motivation for investigating the airship crash.
Does Super Mario is Missing RPG ever become good? The combat system is doing nothing for me, and the Bracer quests seem like such busywork. Does anyone like reading pages and pages of filler dialogue? If the characters weren't so one-note, maybe I would be enjoying it, but just about everyone is a walking stereotype. How is this game so highly rated and recommended on a board that lambastes FF13 because of the "just play 40 hours and it will get good, trust me" situation.

I've seen a few attempts to develop characters over the past hours, and I enjoyed some of the scenes with Estelle and her father -- but nonetheless, I can't maintain interest when the rest of the gameplay is so weak. You're constantly wandering the countryside searching for quest monsters when you aren't rushing through areas trying to hit the next plot point, but you have to surmount a massive output of uninteresting dialogue to do it.
I still can't get over the awful camera angle, pointed down at a harsh 60-something degrees towards the ground. I have to check my map to have even the faintest idea of where I am in an area because the zones are totally generic outside of towns. Nothing about the character design is exciting. I can't believe people are giving this 9/10, even for a 2003 game. Even shitty PSX games did not fall into these holes.

SH2 was great. I beat for the first time a couple of months ago and the characters were great. I loved that Yuri wasn't a faggot and talked shit to the villains. The battle system was enjoyable but I felt that most of the magic was kinda useless.

I never understood the hate on /v/ for this game. Well, I did (primarily PC fanbase + HORRIBLE PC port = distaste) but I played it on PS4 while the whole PC shit was getting fixed and recently got it again on PC and it's just been a treat to play.
The story was fantastic if you're a true Batman fan, Jokers implementation was genius. Sure the Arkham Knight reveal was as obvious as Han Solos death but it still was pretty cool. The car segments however were way overdrawn and limiting DeathStroke to a fucking car boss fight was just disgusting.
Aside from that, this was a fantastic batman game and my personal favorite in the series. The story was some of the best story telling i've seen in comic book history, period. The gameplay is the best its been and the visuals/art style are literally the best i've seen in an open world game to date.

Are 2D character sprites going to be lost forever?
It seems like increasingly, developers are using 3D models for things even when it ends up looking worse. Off the top of my head, Phoenix Wright and Fire Emblem. While the latter still has 2D character portraits, I don't think anyone would say the battles look better with 3D models instead of 2D sprites. And Phoenix Wright completely removed 2D anything, and in my opinion suffered for it.
Why? Surely they aren't stupid enough to think a 3D model is automatically better. Sometimes it is yes, but not always.
Thinking about it, another game that would look better with 2D sprites instead of 3D models, Mighty Number 9
