I literally don't know what the fuck is going on this game.
You're undead, but you're also unkindled, and that's different because you use embers and never lose your humanity, but you still have a darksign. Now, hollows come from Londor, which is presumably New Londo or something like that and serve Kaathe. Which is wierd, because they usually collect humanity, meaning they should be anything BUT hollows.
And the Lords of Cinder kindled the flame, but they're not part of the Soul of Cinder for some reason. In the end you can either become a Dark Lord, link the flame or do some whack shit and usurp it.
Also there's a dark Firelink shrine, Gwyndolin got fucking eaten, there's something called the Deep which is like the abyss only like a sea too, and hollows turn into trees that turn into butterflies that do who the fuck knows what.
