Is Iudex Gundyr the best tutorial/1st boss in any of the soulsborne games?
-Slow attacks teach new players to dodge/block appropriately
-However, his attacks deal enough damage to punish poor play
-Beautiful environment matched only by the wonderful music
-Boss is large enough to be intimidating, but small enough to fight somewhat competently. Transformed form makes this even better
-His transformation gets the player used to two-phase bosses, prompting them to get worried whenever they get any future boss down to 70%-50% HP
-Transformed form is badass
I honestly think he's the perfect boss for beginners and veterans alike. If only all of Dks3 bosses were as amazing as this one
One of the best themes of all of the bosses in the game for sure.
