Seriously, a skilled bastion can be hell and the most anti-fun ever but cheese strategies like that are easy to beat most of the time.

These enemies (And Irithyll Dungeon generally) are overrated garbage. You can stagger them no problem with any weapon and they die pretty easy. The branding iron is kinda retarded however, given how long it stuns you for.
