First of all, Black Mountain Mines are the worst part of the game by far. It's just a very long and uniteresting dungeon full of annoying weak enemies that waste your time and annoying strong enemies who break your weapons all the time. If you played VtMB it's basically the same as sewers.
Level doesn't really matter all that much, if you did everything that you could in Tarant then you are good to go.
Depending on your playstyle you will either get i very with quickly or it will be a slugfest:
If you are a magick user, just get a lot of fatigue potions and spam Harm.
If you are a melee user with magick affinity, bring A LOT of spare weapons. Hitting golems make weapons degrade very quickly.
If you are a melee user with tech/no affinity, craft a pyrotechnic axe. They can't break and you can find a schematic in Tarrant swers or buy it from inventor there.
If you don't have enough Smithy skill to craft it, I think Magnus (the dwarf companion you can get in Tarant) level Smithy and can craft it for you.
If you are a gun user, just bring A LOT of bullets. You should get 1 point in explosives and buy bullet schematics ASAP. By this point you should be using a Looking Glass Rifle or Sharpshooter pistol, but fine revolver can get the job done too. You can switch to real time combat and kite those golems with no problem.

I think the levels are great. Im not that far in but they still give you some backtracking. I dont know what you consider streamlining since all you do in the first doom is clikc, move your mouse and press wasd and space so im not going to address that, why are you worried about ammo in a doom game?, the online is a little bland since its a watered down ut2004 but the demons mix it up a little

Let's talk about Tokyo Xanadu. Why is it so shit?
The gameplay is both monotonely easy, cause most enemies can be defeated by spamming the charge attack, and annoying, cause in you often get stun-locked by enemies in small arenas with enviromental harazards. The dungeons are also samey as shit, just corridors and rooms with different textures.
But the biggest problem is the story and characters.
The progress is made using the annoying structrure of each chapter focusing on a new character, wach having the basic cliched version of their character type's story, e.g. you end up with cliched hiki-hacker story, cliched youth gang leader story, cliched idol story etc. And then after their role is over they just kinda awkwardly hang out in the back, only getting spotlight sporadically.
The main story is cliched to hell and back, the main twist obvious from the very first hazy flashbacks Kou has, but its potential emotional weight ruined by asspull extra ending anyway.
Add in obnoxious pander in making the main heroine obvious Asuna copy and putting a lot of focus on cliched idol group, even recreating it real life, and you get a feeling like TX is extremely calculated product. But at the same time they won't even allow you to actually date one of the girls of your chosing, cause that would ruin the obvious cliched twist.
What was Kondou-shachou thinking with this?
The truly fearsome thing is howererthe thought of Persona 5 ending up the same. I hope friends at Atlus will know better.

I installed MW Overhaul 3.0 yesterday and was wondering how I could disable their retarded "fix" for the Boots of blinding speed.
There is no .esp that changes the boots to those useless pieces of shit, so there must be another way to get rid of this fix?
