Can we agree that Silent Hill had weak puzzles (for the most part), awful bossfights (every single one of them), tedious gameplay (you essentially ran away from it), exploration model that got old after the first area in the first game (check door, look at map, check door, look at map, now do the same in the other world), laughable plot and inadvertently hilarious voice acting.
I'm not passing overall judgement but I'm curious whether you dispute these observations and why.

you have to stop looking at arguments this way. I also think that Silent Hill had the most important thing a video game can achieve - atmosphere but it wasn't reached through said means.

They have different target audiences. Bioware has the "why can't I skip the gameplay?" waifu/husbando audience, Bethesda has the memes and lowest common denominator audience, and CD Projekt Red has the elitists and people who actually like video games.
