I watched some game play of the demo. I was excited to see that seem to have gone from the full-on action shooter form of the last few games back to survival horror. Maybe anon's right and it will be a huge flop, but we'll have to see.

Amiibos are fine, the issue is when they try to make them in any way important, e.g. Mario Party, Splatoon, Animal Crossing.
I'd say the worst thing they ever did was telling their subsidiaries that online multiplayer was a passing fad.

Many people bash it for good reasons, but counter point assholes, this was one of the first legitimately fun FPS from the AAA scene in fucking years. No, Flying Wild Hog does not count. (love them tho myself)
It was just the action, the feel of being a shotgun maniac, the flow of combat, the nostalgia and the "new shit" vibe and also the Soundtrack. Jesus, i want to hear it all day. Top of the cherry, the Lore made Doomguy a BADASS in all forms.
I ask myself what people saw in DOOM3 and why they wanted that back.... that game was 90% black rooms and 10% wankers whispering stories with audiologs. It wasnt bad, but it was terrible as a so to say "Doom" title.It took the "edgy and satanic horror" too fuckin far.

People often don't appreciate just how well thought out Smash's gameplay systems are. They take a bunch of things that otherwise wouldn't work, but put them together in such a way that they mutually support each other to enable freedom that otherwise wouldn't be possible.

The upgrade system really sucks the life out of Souls games. It biases the player to pick one weapon and then stick with it for the whole game. It hurts experimentation.

They've made the upgrades much easier to do in DS3 at least. They were a real pain in Demon's Souls. There were like a million different upgrade stones.
It's not so bad. You generally want to have something for each situation though so you're never really stuck with ONE weapon.
Piercing for armor, slashing for unarmored, elemental to weaknesses and blunt for skeletons.
