Kino is when you see a movie and you feel good.

Remember when everyone fell for this shit and signed a petition to free a rapist murderer?
so why did this fail? fans expected stargate and got battlestar galactica instead? I have to admit, coming from SGA this is quite a brutal shift in tone. but is this reason enough to dislike a wellmade scifi show?
currently re-watching for the first time since its release and surprised how much it grew on me. earth episodes aside I started to really, really like SGU.
>fans expected stargate and got battlestar galactica instead?
That, and the fact that Atlantis was essentially canceled for SGU, leaving a lot of fans bitter. It's a shame because when you put all of that aside the show was pretty damn good. Miles better than SGA in my opinion.

I miss Lt. Titties.
>>70903997
Dude the show was garbage. They focused heavily on very shitty "young adult" drama instead of on exploration. Fuck soap opera's in space. People want a space opera.

>Turn on Fox News
>expect what liberals keep stereotyping Fox News as
>It's a report on a bill about illegal immigration or government spending or something
>Host calmly chats with two other political commentators
>"What do you think about this bill?"
>"I think this bill is good because [Reason X], but it has drawbacks, like [Reason Y]".
>"Interesting. What do you think, other commentator?"
>"I think this is a bad decision for Congress to make. In addition to the benefits, we need to consider drawbacks like [Reason Z]."
>"Also a good point. You both make interesting arguments. Thank you for your time. Coming up next, the weather."
>Check out "redeye"
>Armond White is making fun of movies
I don't get it.
I thought this was the supposed brainwashing boogeyman that you keep claiming is destroying America. Why is it that outside of O'Riley and the other shows that are clearly marked as opinion-pieces like a Talk Show, that 90% of the channel calm and reasonable discussion among various guests and commentators? They had a fucking two-hour biography on President Kennedy the other day.
You really think that's somehow worse than literally editing a phone call to make it sound more "racist"?
Anyways what are some other decent news channels that get a lot of hate, but aren't all that bad?
stop believing everything reddit tells you
It is with Hannity, Fox and Friends, Megyn but is not different from the trash on MSNBC and CNN.
Redeye is the true blacksheep of the network that actively makes fun of the "fair and balanced" spiel of Fox.

I'd suggest raising this issue on /pol/, more likely to get a response
My answer is you were likely raised surrounded by, or in recent years have been lefty babies who discredit anything remotely right wing as racist and evil
>One of the big question’s surrounding this summer’s “Suicide Squad” is Jared Leto‘s inked up, gold toothed Joker. Already, the tales of his on set behaviour is the stuff of legend, with the actor going method, and sending his castmates “gifts” like anal beads and used condoms to bring an air of authenticity and danger to his portrayal of the legendary comic book villain. It turn, the director and cast have been singing Leto’s praises, though the Oscar winner himself has for now, stayed out of any pre-release press rounds. And once again, helmer David Ayer offers a window into Leto’s process and how they built the baddie, which includes some influence from social media, of all places.
>“A lot of it has to do with creating a character with some kind of history and footprint in our world,” Ayer told Yahoo. “And not have this sacrosanct being outside of our continuum, our reality. If a guy like him really existed today, where would he come from? How would he do business? Who would he know? What would he look like? In my mind, I took a lot of inspiration from drug lords on Instagram. It’s a great way to understand the lifestyle of a villain.”
>There’s no doubt that Joker’s attire has been a major talking point, but the filmmaker wants to make it clear there’s a reason for every choice that has been made.
>“The tattoos tell a very specific story,” Ayer continues. “And eventually people will decipher them and understand what’s going on, but obviously they’re contentious, any time you do something new it’s contentious. There’s very specific stories and easter eggs in those tattoos. And even his teeth, there’s an entire story behind that which is absolutely canon. It’s putting his history on his body. This Joker is a little more working class, who I believe could live in our world.”
>Through it all, Leto lent total commitment to his role, and Ayer seems to have nothing but admiration for the actor’s immersion playing the Joker.
>“With Jared, it’s tough for him,” he said. “He constantly has to give birth to himself, he goes away, he comes back, he shoots, he goes away… The Joker is something you have to be, and you can see how exhausting and painful it is for him to be this character. But you can feel it when he comes to work, the crew feels it, everyone feels it. It’s like the birds stop flying. He’s f***ing terrifying.”
“Suicide Squad” opens on August 5th. Check out two new TV spots below.

MOM'S
>movies you love but would never tell anyone/watch anywhere else but locked in your room
I thought the tone and atmosphere of this movie was amazing. The performances were great as well, even though the makeout scenes made me a bit uncomfortable
>>70903273
my mom and sister both went to see it separately, and actually complained that "they started bumassing each other". I couldn't get them to tell me what else they expected out of a gay cowboy film - perhaps just handholding and intense stares.
>>70903360
Meh thst scene didnt make me too uncomfortable just looked like they were wrestling. The making out was weird for me.
Other than that its a great film, id give it a chance.
>>70903273
They were only fucking to establish dominance so it's ok.

2011 /tv/ user here.
What happened to this place?
I leave for a couple years and it's completely different.
Old /tv/:
>Arthouse threads
>Film recommendation threads
>Deadwood & Sopranos threads
>Actual film critiques based on artistic merit
Neo /tv/:
>capeshit threads
>game of plebs threads
>only film discussion revolves around political conspiracies & MUH JOOS psyops
>art film discussion caps at 10 posts before being pushed out the catalog
Explain yourselves /tv/.

Lost ended, ruining the comfy threads. Then right after Dark Knight Rises came out and the bane meme was forced so hard, it became a huge part of the board. That led to nothing but shitposters.
Then we had a massive influx from /co/ since capeshit has become the major subgenre of blockbusters today, which just lead to consolewars over Disney owned Marvel, Fox owned Marvel, Sony owned Marvel and WB.
I too lament what /tv/ has become. At its peak, the only bad thing was the dubs epidemic, which was easy enough to avoid.
/v/ happened
They've become so entrenched that /tv/ gets butthurt whenever you call them out
>>70903347
I dunno, I frequent /tv/, /co/ and /v/, and in the last two years, I've seen a fuckton of blatant /tv/ posters on the other forms.
I feel like this place has /b/ lite, especially now that this place is full of BLACKED and /pol/ threads every fucking day.
