Using just the family name is just a quicker way for them to address each other as they get more familiar.

What did you think of this movie? I have really enjoyed most of Paul Thomas Anderson's work especially There Will Be Blood and Punch Drunk Love. This one did not grab me the same way the rest of his catalog did.
