What are some good coming of age films that take place over the summer or a weekend during the summer?
Preferably ones that have been made in the last 6 or so years.
Picture related as sort of the "aesthetic"

>that scar on her knee

Did they ever actually explain what this guy's major malfunction was?
I mean yeah, he was obviously a psychopath, but why? Did Roose diddle him as a kid or something?
>>71585809
he just didn't feel emotions
mentally he was innocent like a child
but he had to be put down like a mad dog
>>71585809
He was ugly so he was butthurt at everyone, much like r9k
>>71585983
That's book Ramsay
wtf I support torture now
>>71565987
You didn't support torture before? WTF bro?!
>Jack never did the towel thing on camwra
>>71565987
wtf I hate the chinese nowI always hated arabs
I don't get the reaction to this
the story is simple and dumb and the dialogue is garbage. Is it really such an anomaly now for a movie to be competently performed/shot/edited that every time some no name director puts together a small movie like this without stepping on his own dick it's instantly hailed as the best movie of the year?
>>71565912
how is the dialogue garbage?
What about the story is dumb? What about the dialogue is garbage?
>>71565990
>>71565992
all of the dialogue was kind of hammy and overwritten, the desert island device was especially goofy
and I mean dumb as in it wasn't anything special or very inventive or dense, it was a small idea and it played out directly. they didn't even give patrick stewart any good moments or characterization. everything about it was very bare bones
I am an grown up person, with opinion and connection to the internet.
I'm gonna write my opinion here about highly controversial BvS Ultimate Extended Edition TM,
so you all can read it, because it is super important for me to everyone read my thoughts on this art project.
This movie moved what superhero genre means, it is pure kino in its purest form, symbolism with Christ, neutrality of evil, sadness of madness, long term parental influence, vulnerability of fatherland, pain of love, friendship, virtues, if its ugly it must be to no good , women can do everything...

>First half was "ok"-ish, but then its just yet another action movie.
I'd agree. I'd even call the first two hours good. But the last hour? That was a fucking trainwreck.
>>71565808
BvS sucked balls, why the fuck would you waste time on the extended edition retard.
>>71565808
Nice hyperbole m8.
You managed to avoid talking about the movie and its themes and rambled on superficially.
If that is all you have to say, as another grown adult, I'll discard your opinion without guilt of conscience.
Nevermind the hacking, why's he so cute?

Daily reminder that E Corp is Edward Corp, and Elliot's dad isn't really dead. He's still running things BEHIND THE SCENES.
>>71585768
Season 2 is going to ruin everything. :(
>>71585768
Why does anyone watch this shit show?
Cast him
Nolan North
>>71565729
Drake 4 Drake character model is ugly. He looked better in the earlier games.
But anyways, Nathan Fillion.
>>71565771
As much as I like him, isn't he a bit old for action?
Kelsey Grammer, who was once sentenced to jail time for drunk driving and cocaine possession, has quit Alcoholics Anonymous, and now drinks every day.
In an interview with The Times, Grammer spoke about leaving sobriety behind. “I no longer go to AA and I still enjoy a drink,” he admitted. “People need to know how to move on and put things in another place. Drinking is not a vice.”
He also warned that nobody should interfere when it is time for him to hit the bottle. “I want my five minutes every day when I have my cocktail, and I want no one to bother...

Good for him
I'd like to see his reaction when hes having his cocktail and some "fan" comes bugging him.
On my day off I start drinking at noon. You don't get to interpret that.
>>71584229
plz don't die kelsey ;_;
IMO you can wipe the slate clean just keep Henry Cavill.
Lex Luthor
>>71565676
Bryan Cranston as Lex and then have him die and then show young Lex at end.
>Considering this is set before events of BvS
We then get to see more of that attractive Asian who acompanys Lex
>>71565676
Nuclear Man
>two most engaging characters barely got any screentime together
Does anyone give a shit about Superman?
>>71565610
Shitty complaint.
Their scenes together were great.
Too much and you overdo it.
>the most engaging female antagonist in five years is only limited to shitty german tv movies
does anyone give a shit about Antje Traue anymore?
did Zack Snyder shatter her soul?
>>71565610
Wonderbat or BatCat?
Why do people call the dialogue in his movies brilliant again? Not seeing what is so special about his stuff
Of course it doesn't sound special now that there's been over 20 years of movies trying to imitate it.
Because seemingly irrelevant chitchat plants insight into character motivations and perspective that will usually pay off somewhere down the line. Even then I think

Kids on this board need to grow up.
PROS:
The soundtrack
The setting
"Tell him, Steve-Dave."
Slimy Jason Lee
Joey Lauren Adams getting naked
Asshole Ben Affleck
Jay & Silent Bob are still funny
CONS:
Stan Lee cameo
Three-titted woman goes on way too long
Jeremy London is terrible
But that's it. Why does everyone hate this movie?
Shannen Doherty was hot as fuck in this movie
It's the only studio film Kevin Smith has done that is actually any good.
it's a schooner
>Character picks up a book they've never read
>always begins reading in the middle
Why does this happen so often?
There's a very simple & obvious answer. It's easier to animate.
name 50 works of visual media wherein this happens
>>71565524
Easier than starting from page one, what about in live action?
So Tommy Devito was a sociopath, right? But how was it possible that he loved his mother and was afraid to die when says: oh no?
Also he was good friends with Jimmy and Henry.
>>71565433
He was a psychopath. Crazy as fuck but still felt regular emotions.
>>71566179
Like love, greed and fear?
>>71565433
He was like Nicky Santoro but with a bit of a human side
