Just got back from seeing Free State Jones. One thing pissed me off about this. How come these films about black people struggling for civil rights always have a white male as the lead/leader? Glory also fell prey to this crap. Tons of strong black men like Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington, etc. and the movie makes fucking Ferris Beuller the hero. Are there any movies about the struggle for civil rights that don't white wash the leaders?

I saw Kevin Smith give a Q&A in London for his new film Yoga Hosers, which is worth a watch because of how weird it is like Tusk, and because you get Lilly Rose Depp and Harley Quinn (Kev's Daughter) being eye-candy for the majority of the movie.
Kevin is a genuinely nice guy and a very inspirational speaker. Harley Quinn seems like she'll take after her father too.

It does have an effect, but the impact is greatly exaggerated. They put out numbers of how much money has been lost, as if watching a movie without paying for it is taking money out of their pockets, when the actual amount they've lost is $0.
Also just because someone downloads films them doesn't mean they don't also buy films. Industry just puts up a big stink because they're greedy faggots who don't want to adapt to the changing times
