I was just talking about this. The ewoks are not bad. At all. It's the fact that the emperor is so confident in setting his trap that he leaks the ACTUAL generator location to the rebels. The whole fulcrum of the movie that allows the resolution is a Wookie in an AT-ST outgunning a hopelessly small contingent of Imperials.

Me too. But then I watched it as an adult and thought it was quite lame actually.
I can't think of any horror movie that has scared me as an adult though. However, like a junkie, I'm alway searching for that kick you got from watching horror as a kid.
When I was a kid I saw Dario Argento's Inferno, and it was the scariest shit I had ever seen. It was scary not only because of the horror elements, but because of the weird/surreal 70s aesthetic and typical unfitting but groovy Italian horror movie soundtrack. I had never seen anything that violent before.
I watched this and the other movies in the same series not too long ago and I really liked them. They're not really that scary to me anymore, but goddamn Suspiria and Inferno are visually beautiful. And as I said the soundtrack is groovy as fuck.
