Hey Faggots, I was wondering what your opinion on Jean-Luc Godard is?

I've just been getting into a heavy JLG obsession going through Breathless, Le Mepris, Bande a Parte, Alphaville and Pierrot Le Fou, I'm hoping to hit La Chinoise, Weekend and Une Femme est Une Femme soon.

You fags got any suggestions of key films of his to seek out?

I've only seen Breathless, Contempt, Pierrot le Fou, and Vivre sa Vie. The last one is probably my favorite.

What was /tv/ like before capeshit, baneposting, and all that crap? was it ever good?

No, but it was just as addicting. /tv/ is Gods punishment for sinners and deviants.
>>
Slower. Same percentage of shit to quality. But the lower post-rate meant the good threads could last all day.

of course this was also pre-captcha, so any time an autistic person got too upset, they just flooded out the board with the same image/post.
>>
Waifu threads as far as the eye could see. Oh and L O S T

>can do anything

>even his weakness doesn't get him down for long

>god tier aesthetics. Girls don't just think he's nice to look at, they literally have to change their panties after watching bvs

The last one is on the actor not the character

And he's basically hated by a shit ton of people in the movie, pretty much gets bitched out for every nice thing he does because there is something else he forgot to do
>>
The funny part is that superman was never intended to be anything more than this power fantasy so it's fine for him to be all these things, because he's fucking SUPERMAN.

>Second in the cinematic universe.
>Both deal with the role of the hero in this world. Some are against him while the others are not. The gov wants him to respond.
>Another hero wearing black questions him and even ensues in a fight with him at one point.
>The villain is an smug, partially autistic business man that takes advantage of the conflict. You can add Killian from IM3 to compare because of muh daddy issues.
>A recurring female hero is introduced to tease other movies.
>There are recurring references to other superheroes.
>There is an allusion at the main hero being a FALSE GOD, and the only way to make people stop believing him is by MAKING THEM BLEED.

>The final fight is against a buff guy/creature that teamed with the business man. Both heroes unite despite their differences and beat him.
>Both got mixed reviews, but one has 72% and the other has a 29%.

>What are you reading there, Senator?
>Prometehus Bound. An ancient play, one of the oldest we have. About a simple man who was horrifically punished by the powers that be for the terrible crime of trying to bring light to the common people. In the words of Aeschylus, "No good deed goes unpunished." I cannot tell you how much consolation I find in these slim pages.

>a literal fucking titan
>a simple man

>>
>>67611456
Considering what a faux-humble piece of shit that character is, he mightve intentionally interpreted/lied about Prometheus being a common man.

Thoughts?
