Can we all agree that generic looking troll monster #162 was by far the worst part of the movie?

SOME
its not even the real doomsday u cuck

Yeah, Wonder Woman was pretty weak.
I think I have this thing where everybody has to think I'm the greatest, the quote unquote 'Fantastic Mr. Fox', and if they aren't completely knocked out and dazzled and slightly intimidated by me, I don't feel good about myself.

I adore this film. My favorite animated film of all time.
Is there some way we could harness the energy generated from Roald Dahl spinning in his grave?
Like strapping his skeleton up with magnets and shit

It's a /v/ on /tv/ thread!
THE RULES:
1) You can only post actually decent adaptions (no fucking Tomb Raider or Prince of Persia)
2) Uwe Boll talk is strictly banned (unless it's Far Cry or Postal)
3) Edge of Tomorrow and Scott Pilgrim do not fucking count.
end your life /v/edditor scum

how on earth was this almost as well received as the first one?
geuinely LOVED the first one, second one still has some of its qualities but weakened; generic action even facing its age.
I don't mean to rain on your parade but many people call Alien a generic horror movie with a spooky alien.
Both take the idea of xenomorph and tell it in two different, yet incredibly entertaining ways.

They're different, but equally enjoyable?

As someone who has never watched anything star trek before, is it alright to watch this?
Yes.It's comfy as fuck. You should watch TOS first because it's only 3 seasons, is a good series and gives a lot of context but you can start at TNG.
Best place to start IMHO
Tos is amusing but dated visually
Ds9 would be good to marathon right after
THe rest is trash
>>67782528
Don't even bother with Season 1, except maybe the two-part first episode. Season 2 is weaker than what follows, but light-years ahead of the first season.
Why the fuck did Marvel decide on this televised, commercial tier cinematography?
>>67782513
They wanted to make money.
>If everything is covered in a grey filter it's bad cinematography
BvS looks like dogshit, and you need to accept that.
>>67782634
I'm not saying they had good cinematography either.
>YES, THATS FINE, GO AHEAD...

what would you say is the biggest problem today when it comes to modern horror movies?
The audience and their ADHD.
that "horror" for filmmakers is now "startle with loud noises and jump scares"
>>67781324
They keep trying to avoid horror cliches and end up making something that isn't a horror movie at all

Horror buffs: are there any other films like this?
I'm talking occultist films? Atmosphere is a plus and I already have the "atmospheric horror chart".
Closest i can think for atmosphere is Aguirre but thats not a horror.Really enjoyed it. Wasnt expecting the film to end that way

Just marathoned Anamolisa. So Lisa was actually the Japanese Doll he bought at the sex toy shop, right?
Don't know. Either that or he just fucked the doll on the way home, I guess it's left up to the viewer.
