How do you define capekino? What are legitimate examples of such works?

it's a self-congratulatory masturbation thread about a fake word
First off, i thought movie was meh. 6/10 only because of Batman and first half was decent. Not as bad as the media wanted it to be, but also nowhere near as good as it was hyped, which was expected. Script was bad + fan service, directing was bad, editing was poor, character motivation is severely lacking, plot holes etc. Now I'll volunteer the things that could've made the movie better, these are the major things:
First and foremost; don't make this movie, make Superman 2 and Batman movies, maybe even WW stand alone movie and then Dawn of Justice. After...

>Show Batman reconnaissance LexCorp and then stealing the Kryptonite, I wanna see that shit, fuck you, you lazy screenwriting hacks!. Make it a stealthy ninja process and then get him discovered and fighting his way out, you incompetent turds. The chase scene for Kryptonite is actually moot.
>That Africa massacre / bullet / blame Superman subplot was wtf, change it or cut it out, even without it the overall story wouldn't be different. It's only there to give Loise more screen time and make her relevant. Which...

I'd enjoy the movie more if the whole movie was from Batman's perspective
>>67766215
i have huge gripes with the editing
Well this isn't very good
What a waste of Jeremy Irons
I'm still going to see it, because Ben Wheatley is a fucking champion

Another Glee Reunion nobody asked for?
Anyway, the episode was fun, but the writing was as stupid as it usually is.

I really liked the way he delivered his lines. It brought alot of lively dimension to the character, and only rarely came across as "overly edgy."
Although I guess at times it did seem a little historically out of place, but hey.
Jack best pirate.
>>67765796
The actor has done a lot of Shakespeare in his career
He's meant to be a foil to the more brutal pirates really, not quite comic relief, but at least a welcome break from the more thuggish characters
Was he shot?
>>67765080
Of course he fucking was. Why else do you think the camera kept cutting to the dodgy-looking jacketed guy?

Nah, Mad Max was just meh-tier. The only claims to fame it has are being Mel Gibson's breakthrough role and being the prequel to Road Warrior.
Plebs: Fury Road
Normal People: Road Warrior
Pretentious Tryhards: Mad Max
Patricians: First Half of Thunderdome
Road warrior and fury road are best

Why the hell did Vader take commands from some useless admiral in Star Wars 4? Was it ever explained?
>>67764917
Vader was just the Emperor's top henchman in ANH, like Jaws in James Bond. A big guy for you. It was after favorable public reception that made him a top guy.
And Moffs are over Admirals.
>>67764980
more like the nazi guy in Radiers of the Lost Ark, with how he has a high rank but everyone in the Wehrmacht or whatever thinks hes like a weirdo freak
and tarkin is like in charge of a chunk of the empire im assuming because of him being a military 'governor'
he's pretty much finished now right?
>>67764908
The man had been in a million shitty Euro things before Inglorious Basterds and was in his 50's when he had that role. If he never had another hit, he could retire well with just that title being how we remember him. I mean, a literal who walking away with both the Academy and Golden Globe for best supporting actor off the same role?
Then Django Unchained. Another so-so Tarantino flick where he was the best part of the movie. Academy Award and Golden Globe again.
So, no. I'm thinking he's...

>realized i haven't seen anything new recently
>look at his Wikipedia page
>there is a while heading dedicated to his panel show appearances
What the fuck has happened to UK, where if you show the slightest talent they stick you on the panel show circuit for the rest of your life? Him and Richard Ayoade are some of my favorite writers, and yet despite all their success, they are doing fuck all with it.

>they do not live to please you, but to please them
Presumably they had some drive when they were making their early, amazing stuff, just thought they might have been the sort to actually use it and make projects that want.
