I just finished watching this. Damn good movie. The only thing I didn't really care for was the shot of the main bad guy looking out over the carnage with a remorseful look on his face. To me, that tried to suggest that the Americans won and the bad guy felt sad about what he did. That wasn't the case at all.

Just because it wasn't historically accurate doesn't mean it was bad on paper. I mean the baron of Ibelin actually existed but he was nothing like in that movie.
It's like with The Last Samurai where it was very loosely based on a true story. Like how he was actually dutch, it happened (I think) a hundred years earlier and he fought for the shogunate and not the rebellion.
