Pathfinder General /pfg/
Angry Paladins Edition!
Tell me /pfg/, what was your favorite Paladin either you or one of your party members played or encountered? Other LG fighting men allowed too.

>Ask to be a Changeling Witch for Reign of Winter campaign cause Witches n' shit
>GM says no because he only wants core/featured races where it states the RP points
How do I convince him? Changelings aren't even bad as an uncommon race
Ok so I'm getting into the alchemist and call me crazy but are all extracts really standard action regardless of the original spell?
By this I'm really interested in the bottled ally extract since if this we're the case, Infusion would mean me and my tumor can drop two pokemon in the first round and have them act immediately kind of like academae graduate wizards.

Sanger doesn't strike me as a Paladin.
He's a Samurai, but with the Chevalier PrC.
He's most famous for smiting evil, but he's quite capable of smiting anything he goddamn wants.
Resolve is also swanky, Samurai get Katana et al. proficiency, and their levels count as Fighter levels, so he could get Deadly Stroke.
> "A gamemaster who hates meta-currency (such as "Fate points", "action points", "bennies", and the like) is simply opposed to player agency and player control of the narrative. Such gamemasters are overly controlling, addicted to railroading, and in general are opposed to the players enjoying any part of the game besides the narrow corridor he forces them down. In other words, such Gamemasters do not want to roleplay, they want to write novels, and terrible ones at that."

Get a job.
>>47172239
This depends on whether they roll in front of or behind the screen.
Also, don't pretend that /tg/ is good at player agency. A solid third are, maybe, but the rest want to tell their story
>>47172333
I have a job. Today is my day off.
>>47172339
No. The point is that a GM who is against the players being able to spend Fate points to influence the narrative, is overly controlling and does not want a cooperative taletop experience.
> GM: has infinite power over the story
> Player: Is only allowed to control his character's attempted actions
Why is this? It's unbalanced,...

No.
The Beast was confirmed to hail fromUllanorwhich was confirmed to be thehomeworld of the Orks.
It took multiple legions to defeatUllanor Empire and its warbosswith the help of the Emperor. The Beast Waaagh! is much stronger than that era.
>>47171079
Welp. It has been announced, that they will revive Vulkan and he will raise to kick the Beasts ass...
Why and how did it go?
I dealt with only one *real* That Guy once, a few years ago, by getting very angry at him after two hours of putting up with his terrible behavior, and regretted my outburst a lot as it's not civil either. I'm much more chill today though, so that's not an issue.
Though I have found myself in a position where I had to leave a group because most of the core players were driven away by a bunch of bad players who bullied their way to majority because I didn't have the guts to tell them to go when I had the opportunity.
Awkward...

No, but I've left because the DM kept sleeping with a PC.
>>47168240
Sleeping with a PC? How does that work, did he masturbate on the character sheet?
Or are you talking about a player, and in this case, how is that an issue? Except if like, they were doing it during the games, in which case wtf and story.
Let's use the tables, but run it random from start to finish.
Roll d3 to see if we're making something for the Imperium, Chaos, or Xenos.

You guys ever played BattleCON, before?
Yes, and it's fucking great. It's my go-to 2 player game and my runner-up 3 player game.
That said, there are definitely some fighters that are better than others, and with the change from special actions to force gauge, the strength of a whole bunch of fighters has been thrown completely out of whack. I'm looking forward to seeing what the new expansion will bring and if there's any hope of Battlecon Online coming out on Android. I doubt it.
>>47182252
Battlecon Online's UI is one of the worst I've ever seen. Absolutely incompetent and bound to fail.
The game is really good, though, and the change from Dash to Dodge is going to be great.
>>47182252
>Some fighters are better than others
Depends on how it flows, really.
For example, Shekhtur. Bitch is fast and can hit hard as fuck, however, she doesn't have soak or stun guard for shit really and if you keep punishing her if you have a character with good stun guard and soak or if they can play the field and keep away from her because her range modifiers are pretty shit too.
That said, if you fuck up and let her stay up on your asshole you will be raped....

What is not understanding what you're looking at.

There's already a thread for this.
You knocked what was potentially a decent or useful thread off the catalog so you could make your DLC joke.

Preferably low cost, what options are out there? I've been playing Klondike (solitaire) recently, its pretty cool
masturbation

funny enough ive started playing solitaire to keep myself from masturbating. Im never gonna get chicks if I keep blowing loads on myself.

During Thursday session, my players will have to play a giant chess game (think the first Harry Potter book/movie) against the BBEG lieutenant as part of a challenge
He absolutely want to win so he is going to cheat more and more during the game
To beat this challenge, the players just need to actually beat their opponent
What are some discreet way I can make the lieutenant cheat ?
Don't use a chess board, just describe the game to them. If they can see the board cheating is obvious, if they need to keep track of whats happened you can get away with a lot, I'd suggest making it obvious when he's close to winning though, e.g. A second queen or a third rook makes a move
>>47180076
No chess board is a good idea
But how would they know what they can play ?
>I'd suggest making it obvious when he's close to winning though, e.g. A second queen or a third rook makes a move
Yea, I have in the idea that the longer the game is, the more obvious the cheat
>>47180016
Make them come to the board one at a time, and unable to observe it alone; eventually they ~should~ start mapping the board in pencil and paper, at which point they'll catch the discrepancies of movement during the swaps.
The "Part 2" thread is 9 images from post limit and the new thread is a guy doing pixel art.
I am requesting middle eastern-looking druids, or any kind of arabian magic user for that matter.
In return I'll be dumping some of my Arabian art

So what if Wizards got rid of rarities on their cards? Would it save the game forever?
IDK if it would save the game but the Living Card Game model where all the cards are available through packs where you know exactly what you're getting is certainly less reprehensible than CCG shit.
>>47178444
Not saying like you know what you're getting, but the fact that you aren't limited to getting only a single or two good cards per pack. You know that each pack could have good cards that may appear multiple times.
>>47178289
Well wizards would make far less money off it as people wouldn't buy as many packs.
I'm trying to amass a collection of easy to print out tokens for my assorted tabletop games.
Please post any good tokens you have found/made.
Preferably the tokens should print out at 30mm.
All genres are welcome.
The creatures in my tokens are Zombies, Ghouls, and Shoggoths, for Call of Cthulhu. (Tokens are mine but not the art)
almost forgot, this is not limited to monsters, player tokens and other humanoids are more than welcome.
>>47177630
Something people might find useful; a way to make tokens:
http://download.rptools.net/zip/tokentool-1.0.b28.zip
Simply drop an image into TokenTool, Choose a border and size, then save the new image (or drag the preview in the corner into the document of your choice). Most frames are 256x256 (acceptable for home printing).
>>47178141
how does one open the program, I may be retarded but all those files are .jars
There has been so much hate about this, but I actually quite like them, Codex and all. They don't seem SO BAD lorewise, but I would love to see anyone else beside me supporting this idea.

>>47177191
Sorry, I couldn't hear you over the screams of all these Ultrasmurfs I'm flaying alive.
i like them.
Why the hate for ultramarines, they're pretty cool, right?
No. No, they're not.
Babby's First Mehreens are not "pretty cool".
>>47177154
But all marines are cool.
>>47177135
I enjoy them when the Roman theme is played up more than the "by-the-book perfect children of the SPIRITUAL LIEGE".
