On a thematic level, Lunars and Solars are disconnected from the natural process of reproduction. Their mythic place is equivalent to a reincarnated bodhisattva, or a prophet of God, or similar figures. They are a mortal who is empowered by a mixture of luck and merit, specific and unique to them as an individual, with an element of divine favor tied up in that.
Half-castes are residual magic from mommy and/or daddy carrying on to the child. They turn the focus away from "empowered by the Incarnae"...

Those are valid opinions, anon, but it is important to recognize that they are opinions rather than insights into the fundamental themses of the Exalted. Firstly, Half-Castes - not Half-Castes as they were in 2E, but Half-Castes as people with some extra oomph - aren't powerful or significant enough to turn focus away from anything. Secondly, children of the Exalted being just regular plain humans would imply a clear distinction between the Exalt and Exaltation. I mean, there would obviously be a part untouched...

How is a human brain in robotic body called? Cyborg? The only organic part is the brain so I'm not sure if it counts then again Terminators were cyborgs and their only human part was the skin.

How does one make fights mechanically interesting besides "beat shit up"? Have any of you included inspiration from MMOs for mechanics? If so, how did it go?

Strike! is what you're probably looking for. The class archetypes all support each other nicely.

Have a timed goal to do something aside from beating up the enemies, with the enemies serving as obstacles.
Have lots of terrain effects that make positioning more interesting and important.
Have the enemies have a timed objective that the players have to stop them from accomplishing.
Set up a convoluted situation where the first side to die wins, and watch the hilarity.
One of the enemies is a spy, the players know this, but don't know which, and the spy can't risk outing themself...

How do we make magic more interesting in RPGs? We know that the vancian system just isn't cutting it anymore.
By not playing D&D or playing the casting classes that don't use vancian magic.

That depends on your definition of more interesting. Do you want constant fireball throwing or more nuanced rituals? Personally I feel like constant fireball throwing isn't terribly interesting, but I'm sure others feel as though it's the most fun.

Fireball throwing isn't bad, but it should be one of a wizard's many utilities. Something closer to a cost system like in video games where you only have a certain amount of mana that can be used(Regenerating some over time) might be a worthwhile way of doing it. Having to actually use mediums such as wands and staves to enhance casting would work too, each with its own benefits and drawbacks.
Ignoring opinions on the series, what kind of weapons/tactics would you expect to proliferate in the setting?
No guns, no electricity, steam engines don't work, and explosives don't work anymore. Whatever it is that caused the Change ignores natural laws and doesn't kill off electrical impulses in animals. Alien Space Bats are dicks, but not that big of dicks
Well having read these I think the thing that got to me was how quick the progression was. I expect in that setting you would have a lot of people who didnt really know what they were doing. Fighting technique would redevelope latter, I would expect a lot of desperate melees and small group engagements. Sure there would be people who knew proper technique and tactics, but that takes time to proliferate. I also dont think they would return to old lone em up style warfare. Assuming military personnel or even enthusiasts survived I would image they would advocate more modern guerilla...
