In most fantasy settings, both elves and orcs can interbreed with humans, producing half-elves and half-orcs, respectively. So these three are obviously pretty closely related: in more than one setting (besides Middle-Earth, at least Elder Scrolls comes to mind) orcs actually used to be elves before shit hit the fan and they got changed.
So how come I've never heard of orcs and elves having children? You'd think that what with all the wars and the ensuing mingling between the two, they'd be at the very least as common as human-elf pairings. What would the...

To answer the question, in the german fantasy series The Dwarfs there was once orc-elf hybrid used as an assassin, resulting from an elf chained to a rock in a cave and raped to death. Can't remember how it looked.

human x elf exists because humans, the writers, want fapbait. The idea that the two races, one of which lives centuries, are compatible is completely nonsensical. It's less like white x black and more like human x chimpanzee. Both are apes but that doesn't mean they can interbreed.
To answer your implicit question, the reason you don't see orc x elf often is because it's hard to self-insert as either as a human.
I'm trying to make a cross-dressing knight. I mean to say, it's a woman who was raised as a boy due to succession concerns.
How do I avoid anything that seems fetishy without making her characterization pointless? You know, make it clear enough that cross-dressing actually matters without it eating up all of the character, and avoiding the issue of "Why don't you just play a man?"

Technology dependencies. They progressed past their means, creating clone vats, planetary defense stations, etc that withstood even as they regressed into lesser beings. Could even be like Wall-e, AI taking the reins.

How should I go about running Planescape as envisioned by Guillermo Del Toro?
Our party spends its downtime sitting around a campfire, listening to our elderly warlock/wizard tell stories of how he enslaved demons and stole the souls of paladins. This usually upsets our paladin.

He makes decisions based purely on his own personal desires, so he's evil in DnD terms. He may be lawful since he seems to want the same kinds of things consistently.
Yes, he would be good. He may not believe in good or evil, but he undertakes actions and has preferences that see him do good deeds, regardless of the motivation.

do you put much thought into the physical description of your character to match the games mechanics of what they should physical be able to do?
or do you make an appearance and ignore what the physical attribute score says they should look like?

I tend to stick to having it sort of match what stats there are- But, physical appearance is pretty easily summarized with a one or two word phrase, so it's not that big of a deal anyway.

My Goliath is tatted up in holy symbols and passages of the Giant Pantheon. He's got 18 strength at the moment, plus being a fucking Goliath means he's already ripped.
