Go to lsg if you got one at hand, ask for the free starter half decks for beginners.
They should be free.
Pick two colors have a friend pick 2 and see how they play.
You will have more affinity for some colors than others. Play those.
You can start casual and move up to either commander or modern, I won't recomendable standard to start with because by the time you finish your deck and get good that shit will rotate.

I see a lot of people talking about the different styles like modern, standard, etc. Whats the difference?

I'd say she's an example of chaotic neutral. She wants to do good but she is more about the violence and doing what she wants without rules.

Theoretically yes.

If you could find a group autistic enough to master the entire document it would probably completely do away with any arguments over certain rules, which would make game nights more about fun and less about who can interpret rules in the most convincing manner.

Next, the world needs to be shit for one reason or another. A Totalitarian Theology oppressing everyone, Capitalist Wasteland, Post-Apocalyptic feral humanity. Doesn't really matter what, but it needs to be shitty.

Then the players are Gods trying to get their worship back, so they need to do stuff. Help people, smite their enemies, whatever.

You finally get to do something with that world you were building. I love seeing how players react to the stuff I come up with. I also find being a player weirdly stressful for some reason.
