Shinobi Quest #11
This quest takes place within the lands of the Five Great Shinobi Nations (aka Narutoverse) starting roughly around the beginning of the original series. The world of this quest remains similar to the original, with slight but notable differences in certain areas, based upon the passage of time from a single slightly altered event.
(It’s a goddamn Naruto Quest, you bastards. Have fun, participate, and write in when you feel inclined. Most of the outcomes of this quest will be determined by you, the players. Critiques and questions are always welcome, as my knowledge of the weeby shit is not all encompassing.)

Last thread, Tsuki Norihime spent some time with her new sensei, Itachi Uchiha, and got poked. We also initiated the timeskip, got some training done, and further developed the Stellar Release.
We join Tsuki the morning of the final day the chunin exams- the Semi-Final and Final matches will be available for the public to watch- a huge event, both for the Leaf, and allied shinobi across the many smaller villages.
Maru came early in the morning to wake you- Father was expecting guests. Not just any guests, either, but important dignitaries from the Land of Snow. Maru wasn’t sure who exactly they were, though.
Internally, you groan. Not only were these people depriving you of sleep, but you will be expected to be with father during the visit. You doubt it will take that long, though, as the timing of the visit implied these Snow people were here to watch the exams as well. It made sense- the Land of Fire and the Land of Snow were military allies.

Your name is Amy Nakamura, a 17 year old void Oni, and you’re about to watch movies with your best friend and your cousin. Of course this is a lot odder than the average movie watching, mostly because your best friend your Lord, and your cousin is a Kitsune child whom you’ve hated until (incredibly) recently. Your life continues to spiral in random directions. You wouldn’t say you dislike it however, on the contrary, it’s been getting pretty…. Fun.
That aside, you and your slumber mates are desperately trying to figure out what to watch. Normally this would be a fairly easy issue to fix buuuut… You have three very different people quarreling about what to watch and the results are pretty far from easy to fix.
“We should watch ‘Zombie werewolves 5’ I heard they got real werewolves for it.” Trish says, testing out her “Lord” voice. It isn’t really working for her.
“Can we like, just watch something funny? Howabout Legally Elf? It’s a classic!” Your cousin adds.
“We need something nice an long, we should wat-“
“If you say Lord of he Rings, I’m slapping you.” Trish interrupts you.

Last time, as previously mentioned, Red Siren soundly beat SOUL Squad B's ace, Lt. Alice Clementine Farragut, in a duel. Fortunately, they seem to be reconciling, which is good because you fully intend to sleep with both of them in the next few hours. Yep, it's a good day to be you so far. This whole thing with the dual aces plotting against your mechanic, though, is profoundly worrisome. Poor Karen.

One successful roll is 6 burst fire of 8k bullets? That's pretty broken. That does more damage than the fucking Tarrasque. Lower the burst fire or do it like Shadowrun style. Roll to dodge/parry each hit with each subsequent shots have higher malus to hit.

Okay so first off I'm not advocating for either side of the Martial vs Caster debate but one of the martials biggest arguments is that Casters can perform amazing superhuman feats while the Martial can'tbarring magic items and a lot of Feats
So my question is how would you buff Martials without nerfing Casters in any way in order to eliminate the perceived disparity

Everything is going better than expected. I am gathering so much useful data. I'm expecting Spess Mareen Republican Commando to end sometime October-Novemberish due to the delays we've sometimes had, but I think everyone's having fun so far. And as the late game begins it lets me try out weirder enemy mechanics.

Most every judge I know would just flat out ban it from use. Technically speaking, it's a Forest- it is named Forest, so that's what it is. However, I have seen maybe one or two people in my entire career who consider this to be an interesting novelty to put into a mono-green deck. Every other person has wanted to use it to confuse their opponent, which is why I would say "Just go get normal Forests from the store's draft box".
