/tg/, I am playing a male human bard in a D&D game and have been told to stop roleplaying.
We play in a FLGS, and I have been playing my bard properly - quick tongued, charismatic and dextrous. Apparently though flirting with barmaid and noble alike, charming purses and legs wide open with a saucy song or cunning jape, and suggesting we lay, not slay, foes is a sign of being a "weirdo".
I thought everyone knew bards were all about picking up ladies? Sex is natural and the fact I am being told I am weird for playing a sexually confident male suggests the rest of the group are probably kissless virgins.

Hell, by some definitions ancient Athens would probably qualify with their Pharmakos.

Depends. Do you want them to be xenophobic, and if so how? Would they exclusively sacrifice warmbloods as proof of their domination over the lesser, or would they stick to coldbloods for the purity, or would they just go for whoever it's most politically convenient to off?
Think of it from a political point of view and then work things out from there, I reckon.
Also, if we're talking about something lovecraftian then chances are that it doesn't care about the blood at all and it's all just stuff the lizardfolk have made up to make themselves feel better.

Song of Swords is a realistic fantasy tabletop RPG that draws inspiration from historical fechtbuchs, weapons and armor. Its combat system is fast and it can be used for both fantasy and historical/mundane settings.
Call of the Void is a pulpy sci-fi tabletop RPG about fighting space-nazis and hunting giant whales with harpoons made out of the moon. Its combat system is more modern, based in the early 20th century, but can probably handle combat up to the present day.
