>>47911798It's complicated to explain but basically: Pidgeons in a skinner box test become superstitious and get agitated when the randomized variables of their food being handed out become more consistent because they're being explained that their prior understanding was bullshit. Grognards similarly make up shit about the game they play and that becomes "the game" to them and when explained how that's bullshit they get angry and defensive.

Play the type of evil that can plan long-term and subtly use the actions of allies to accomplish its own goals.
Incorporate the group into your evil schemes. They don't have to know you're overtly evil.

FInd a reason why your character travels with and doesn't kill the other players (needs their protection, they have the same goals, ect.)
Also remember that evil doesn't always mean cruel or hell, even mean. Your just out for yourself.

If I recall correctly, there was a D&D module that had a section that was focused around the PCs being teleported straight into the middle of the Vietnam war by a soldier with super PTSD. If someone has that bit you could probably crib from it wholesale.

Would dwarves really be good fighters? Wouldn't they suffer from a pretty important height and reach disadvantage when fighting anything but other dwarves?
Where does the "dwarves are great fighters" stereotype come from?
They are often described as sturdy, hardy and brave, which are nice things to have as a fighter.
But you are right about the height thing. Reach is an important part of fighting to the point that's almost unfair to smaller people. But you could say that dwarfen fighters are almost all the time heavily armored. Long pointy sticks don't mean much if they can't penetrate their carapace.

Game night: 3-4, most games tend to be best balanced at those counts; full day of gaming: 4-8, it lets people sit out some games and chat/drink/play a filler and keeps burnout from setting in over the course of 6-8hrs.

Hell yes, they work for my 2yr old niece and my idiot drunk friends at the same time. Toss up between Rampage and Coconuts, both are just good silly fun.
