Also, would anyone be up for creating a codified set of rules to play in the land of hallucinogenic bugs and rapedactyls? Because frankly I feel like getting shit done. The base framework will be burning wheel light or as its more commonly known, mouseguard and torchbearer.

The first big question especially with a setting like this is where and when do you start?
For where its a little easier the '/tg/' region is well fleshed out as to what its like and what sort of critters and peoples might be there. The When is a bit harder. My gut instinct tells me to have it around the end of the first year. This gives us an equal footing and tipping off point for people that want to be 'fresh off the boat' and more grizzled been through hell and back sorts.
Sup, /tg/. /k/ here. I'd like to play a tabletop/pen and paper RPG that will cater to my nigh-autistic obsession with and knowledge of guns. I was recommended Delta Green. I know the cthulhu mythos, and am told that Delta Green is basically that + x-files + operators. Was this correct? Also Delta Green/ cthulhu thread, I guess.
There was Friday Night Firefight, IIRC. There's also another /k/commando around who used d20 to stat all the guns.

A buddy of mine had an idea that is a combination of hilarious and horrifying (Hilarifying? Horrlarious?) coming from the idea of Doug Huggem.

The pet has since gone to a better family and Horus was sent to a scout camp to learn better responsibilities.

I'm pretty set on making a sort of rogue/assasin/thief/spy sort of character for my next campaign I'll be playing in. Anyone know of any good books (sci-fi or fantasy) that has really well done characters like this that I can draw some inspiration from?

Not a book, but Garret from the original Thief games (you can just watch them on YouTube) is perhaps the best Neutral-aligned Rogue example EVER.

Well... Do you like stealth games? Because they're not going to do anything for you if you don't like the genre to begin with. There's no cross genre appeal.
But if you do, they're pretty much the codifier for the genre and classics in their own right.
Just be a little gentle. They're old, and show their age at times.
