The Lion’s Share exits hyperspace. And in your sights now was the sparkling ball of beauty that is Naboo. Surrounding it is an intense security cordon of Star Destroyers and smaller cruisers. You even spot an Interdictor as well amongst the fleet. You, Misri, Kuvasz, and Vikker sit in the cockpit, and watch as a pair of TIE Fighters immediately swoop in on your flanks. Standard procedure. On your comms, a very bored sounding Imperial Officer contacts you. “Unidentified ship. This is the ISD Conquest, state your business.”

“This is Rhys Cykgil,” you declare. “And this ship is the Lion’s Share. I am visiting Naboo on Imperial business authorized by Admiral Daas Reike. It is of the upmost importance I land safely.”

“Please transmit your clearance codes, Captain Cykgil.” Huh. Nobody’s ever called you Captain lately. Feels nice. You start transmitting the clearance codes to him. It’ll take a few minutes to process, and in that time you decide to explain the situation to your crew. “Right guys. Listen, I’m not… specifically allowed back on Naboo you know.”

“They seem to like you just fine,” says Kuvasz.

“Yeah, the Empire doesn’t own Naboo, the people do,” you say. “And they don’t like me very much. Listen, you guys just stay on the ship, don’t cause a lot of trouble, let me handle things. I’ll take R5 with me.” You smile at R5 as he manages your navigations. “It’ll be like old times, R5.”

“Oh. Good. I really missed those times,” he says loudly and sarcastically. You roll your eyes.

“Are you sure you don’t need us?” asks Misri.

“… I didn’t say that in so many words, just keep the ship ready in case I need to beat a hasty retreat,” you say. “And I probably will need to beat a hasty retreat.”

“Captain Cykgil. Your codes are cleared. Proceed to Hangar Two in the Capital City of Theed. A security team will secure your ship for you.”

-

-

Theed is as beautiful as you remember it. The Empire has made absolute sure not to tarnish or taint any bit of the planet’s natural attractiveness with the Imperialization of the Outer Rim. And why would they? This is the Emperor’s homeworld after all. If anybody were to burn a single blade of grass on this planet, they’d be drawn, quartered, and have their bodies paraded through Coruscant. You can’t remember if the Emperor ever visits this planet anymore, but you’d probably be steaming mad too if someone were to come into your old house and start tearing it up.

You digress. You land in one of the spaceports of Theed. The four of you step down the boarding ramp, and you walk down Misri’s speederbike. She bites her lip, her fingers twitching as you as cart it around as if it were just some common swoop. “Make sure she gets plenty of air! The intakes are specifically designed to maximize fuel efficiency and if they aren’t clean, the bike won’t breathe right! And you have to squeeze the brakes gently too and-“

“Misri.” You shove R5 into the sidecar, smiling at her. “I will take good care of your bike. I promise. I just need to borrow it for a while.”

“Okay, okay…” You sit down on the seat. “Gently!” she whines. You roll your eyes, snapping your helmet on and pulling on your mask. “Ugh, where are you even going anyway!?”

> “The Gungans have a holy place not too far from here. I’ll take a look there see what I can see.”
> “I know a couple of guys who live on the outskirts. They might know something.”
> “Going to cause some trouble. The Naboo love trouble.”

Though out of curiosity why does Rhys not take his own Swoop bike but take Misri?

You are a Construct, an autonomous creature built from steel, and given life by ancient magic and modern ingenuity. Unlike most, you have mistakenly achieved sentience, and have received civil rights. You are also a detective with the city police.

Today is a big day. Rather, it's a big night. As you return home from a long shift, beat and ready to sit down with some music and just think, you recall your prior engagement. You drag yourself through the front door of your studio apartment, and shut the door with all the enthusiasm of a child being told to clean their room. After removing your work clothes, you move to the small closet across from the kitchen and sigh as you pull open the door.

Tonight is the Policeman's Ball. A tired and ancient tradition perpetuated by self-congratulatory business owners and entrepreneurs who gather annually to empty out their change jars into a bucket in the name of supporting the local law enforcement. If they put half as much cash into funding the cops as they did throwing this bloated shindig, you might actually get some decent equipment and supplies for the precinct. Hell, you might even get half-decent coffee. At any rate, attendance is mandatory for all officers and employees of the police force who aren't on duty. The Chief, Russo, Sutherland, even Davis will all be there in their Sunday best. You on the other hand, have no real desire to squeeze yourself into a suit, at least not for the entertainment of a bunch of rich snobs. Still, it might be fun this year.

You reach a hand into the closet

>Pull out some clean casual clothes
>Pull out the suit you wore to Ferris' funeral
>Pull out the tuxedo Samson forced on you last year for the ball
>Go nude

Wait. What's going on. Were you sentient a second ago?
You try to look around, but it's hard to make out what's going on with these eyes taking up room in your sockets. Your bones feel constricted, and you realize that you're entombed in a layer of twisting skin and muscle.
"What's wrong? The ritual...it should have..." Someone is speaking, far away.
"Looking for this, Gyrnax?" A voice grates through your jaw, not your own. You see the flesh suit around your right hand hold up a crystal of some kind.
"You fool! Do you have any idea what you've done?!"
It's becoming a little easier to make out what's happening around you. You're standing in a well-hewn cave of some sort. Nearby, a large skeleton is laid out, purposefully posed in a circle of runes. At five equidistant points around the skeleton, candles have been lit and small altars raised. Four of the altars have crystals on them that resemble the one in your hand. A pointy-eared humanoid is struggling with two skeletons nearby, but soon manages to smash one of them apart. A red-robed figure makes arcane gesture and fires several bolts of arcane force towards a distant black-robed man, the apparent source of the other voice. Your right hand drops the crystal to the ground and draws a longsword, and you feel the suit of muscle and blood propel itself forward, rapidly closing the gap between you and the man apparently named Gyrnax.

Gyrnax opens his mouth to speak, but your meat suit wraps both hands around his slender throat, knocking him to the ground.
"Time to put an end to your evil, Gyrnax!" you can hear the voice rattling around and vibrating in your throat. It's very uncomfortable.
"Wait...you cannot do this! I command you to stop at once!" Gyrnax says, his voice growing desperate as he looks into the eyes in your sockets.
No, that's not right.
He's looking past the eyes in your sockets. He's looking at you. He's talking to you.
"Do something, you...miserable spirit," he spits. "Without me, you're....." he coughs and begins choking.
"Shut up and die!" your throat rasps.

The holy grail war … It's been about two months since you summoned your servant Lancer. You spent these two months sparring and training with Lancer while also familiarizing yourself with Fuyuki City. You received reports from your organisation that all seven masters have been chosen, along with the summoning of their servants. You were told that two of the great families, Tohsaka and Matou were among the first masters to successfully summon their servants, although you're not sure what servants they actually summoned.

After your daily training session with Lancer, you both stare outside the massive window in your apartment which has a brilliant overview of Fuyuki City, the various lights in the city illuminating the night; giving the city a seemly lively atmosphere even though the hour grows late.

“Master, tonight will most likely begin the holy grail war. I sense that all seven servants have been summoned, if there was going to be a clash: tonight would seem the most likely.”

You contemplate this as you stare wistfully outside the window, thinking on your next step…

Do you:

>Decide to go out and explore the city with Lancer
>Tell Lancer to go scouting by herself
>Wait in your apartment to see if anything happens

Sorry for starting late, my internet was being a jerk.
>>
Not very far from your position your matriarch has sealed herself inside a vault and started doing something that escaped your knowledge but drained massive quantities of energy; even the mighty plasma reactors that were feeding the building you were at became somewhat strained from the effort that Hellenica was asking from them and in a couple of occasions the lights went out. You didn’t knew much from your parents but you were pretty sure that you had inherited more from her than from your father, she was more technologically inclined than biologically and you had followed a very similar path to hers. With her near unlimited resources and the many Necron secrets that she knew she was surely doing something incredibly dangerous and forbidden.

You didn’t have much time and hence only selected a few bionic upgrades for they were the ones that required the most installation time by far. At the end and after thoroughly looking at the database you ended selecting the creation of three devices and the forge of two augmentations. The same instant you selected their creation the sacred forges started to awaken and compliantly proceeded to do their intended sacred task, not very far away a cylindrical metallic pod emerged from the floor and opened, inviting you in.
>>
>>44940468
As you advanced towards the pod you looked more upon those incredibly advanced forges, from each of them a holo-projector showed the blueprint and how the final product would end looking along with some parameters like length and weight, oddly the forge that was making the Non-Euclidean Dices wasn’t able to create a holographic representation and all it showed was a blurry static mess, you didn’t knew what were those dices and how could they be made but it was obvious that their physic defying nature was making a huge strain on the logic induced circuits of that particular forge. Instead of continuing your way into the awaiting pod you got on your knees and prayed next to that forge for its safety and as a thankful way of rewarding its services.

“Sacred Digitalis Dataforge, your databanks are filled with holy binary code for it is the base of your creation, copper and gold veins fill you with electron carrying energy. I humbly ask you to do your best, for our hands created you and your dendrites create for us. Please forgive me asking to create this anomalous item. Ave Omnissiah Deus Mechanicus.”

After the prayer the machine was able to finish its task and regurgitated a set of three impossibly shaped dices, one of which was oddly spherical. Having them inside your hand and sight simply felt wrong and quickly you placed them into one of your many pouches and closed it with a purity seal out of precaution.

With everything ready you stripped completely of your armor and clothes and headed into the center of the pod that promptly closed and gassed you with some odorless yet yellowish looking gas that quickly started to stun and put you to sleep, inside a tube of blue energy shielding made you stay in place and upright while several thousands of nanodendrites started to advance like a swarm of insects and crossed the barrier without a problem, by the time you started to notice the first tickling and stinging sensations you ended falling asleep.

Lets get a civ General rolling

(Thanks to Sleep_drawfag for our new copy pasta for General, AND for these cool cards!)

Previously people wished to suggest more random event cards but it turns out many interested Anons do not have the source for the existing ones. There is an imgur gallery that has all the 45 cards I made and also a small selection of hands to draw from as a fluff picture.

Cards
>http://imgur.com/a/xtYLp#0
Cardback and draw
>http://imgur.com/a/dPcrN#0

>Guidelines for recommending event cards:
- Non-specific - Try to make them open ended and not tied to a specific race/location/other event etc. remember that there is no system behind them they are there as sparks of ideas for CMs. Do not go "You find X amount of gold in random treasure chest."
- Reasonable - They should not change the game significantly to interfere with the CM's work, they should aid the CM's work.
- Copypasta - Before you suggest one please review the already existing ones. While completely avoiding duplication is not possible, as I already have several, but try to keep from straight duplication of existing ones. Like in the future we can have "hunting season" and "the great hunt" or "tornado" and "hurricane" but right now there isn't really any great difference between them.

NOTE: Just to make it clear this isn't for art requests, there is no guarantee that your suggestion will be created. All I can do right now is to note them down and add them to my (pretty long)to do list. Keep it in mind that I might not be able to do draw it at all, either because I lack the skills or because I disagree with the idea. Discussion about suggestion/ideas in the thread

"You know what they say about curiosity and cats, don't you?"

I don't turn to meet the voice as it playfully mocks me. It's a girl's voice, definitely, and young, but it doesn't belong to anyone I know. Not anyone that's important to me. Not anyone whose voice I want to hear.

"Amalia! Say something!"

She doesn't speak. She doesn't move. Amalia is...

"She's not dead, stupid." The voice continues to mock me. Hasn't she done enough with her cruel...

Wait.

What did she say?

"You can clearly see her breathing, even from here. So quit getting so worked up over nothing, would you?"

"Amalia isn't nothing!" I rudely snap back without thinking. How dares she? She's making me so angry! She's making me want to... to hurt her! A lot!

I watch her feet as she casually walk past me. Her dirty boots bang thump against the floor, the layer of discarded books crunching weakly under her weight. Her lower legs are bare. Exposed. Vulnerable. I feel something, something that's more than anger. Something I've never felt before. An urge, rising in my chest. An urge to...

But good girls don't do that. And I'm a good girl, unlike her.

"By the way," she continues casually, "you might want to move before the ward-"

Flashes again?

For a moment, my vision is filled with blue, the same blue that lit up beneath Amalia. No, not just my vision. All of my senses, all of my mind, and everything I am, is blue.

Devotion, the Will that never ceases. Blue.

Deceit, the Will that breaks the powerful. Blue.

Calm, the Will that brings Harmony. Blue.

Alteration, the Will that bends. Blue.

These are the feelings that wash over me, filling my entire being.

I think that I should be frightened, screaming. But I do not feel that. I only feel blue.

I think that I should be hurting, but I do not. Pain is elsewhere, not here. Not blue.

I think that I should be thinking of... someone? Someone who I want to help? Or someone who can help me? I don't remember. They are not here. They are not blue. There's only me and blue here.

I taste the blue, feel it. I know it now. The blue is...

>Me.
>Not me.

There is nothing to fear.

You are a Cave Hydra, big and mighty, but now you face a bit of trouble. The trouble mainly comes from the fact that your way back to your nest to gain the well deserved nap is blocked off by Dwarves, and considering how well armed and coated they are in the shiny rocks, you decide to let it go and walk the longer way.

You walk back, uphill, and you return to the place where you tried to hunt, the connection point of 3 big rivers that connect into one. You ignore the complete plain corpse of the Bat you nibbled on and go through the right most tunnel. The inside of it surprisingly well lit, although very narrow, most of the walking path is taken by the running water.

"The source is too far off, we need to turn into the Dwarf Settlements below and go through there."

"Too dangerous, we can enter the Purple Worm tunnels and head upwards, through the Grick nest."

Your right and left suggest respectively, you could also take the safest but most exhausting road, digging through.

>"Purple Worm lies in slumber, we can go through its tunnels and Gricks are too afraid of us to bother us most likely."
>"Dwarf Nests are better choice."

I thought OP is asking what makes us akin to princesses, not what makes us agreeable towards them.
Why the 'personally' otherwise?

Anyways OP, personally it'd be my long luxurious locks of hair and the fact I sit in my room all day waiting for someone to save me.

Asking what qualities a princess can have that makes them endeared to one specific person instead of just addressing the question to the general population implies that OP wants a more exact and unique example of your own preference instead of a vague and general idea of what causes princesses in fantasy to be liked.

*Please not that this is my first CIV and i am not native English speaker.

80 moons ago the patience from the empire ran out. Your tribe had long been a thorn in their eye. They killed of all the elders and keept the young ones for 80 years on a island where they were not allowed to learn and develop their culture. Now 80 moons have passed by and they believe that you have forgotten all of the secrets. All the wise ones has been killed.

Your tribe is put on boats, and driven to an unknown land. The Empire leaves the your tribe with only enough food to last for a year. However there is one thing they did not know about. One of the elders is alive and was smuggled onboard.

Unfortunately he is on his deathbed and only have enough time to tell about one secret of the past. What do you want him to learn about?

The wise old man tells you about how to threat the earth. You learn about basic agriculture and also the ard. Your tribe goes to work and starts digging in the soil. There are some seeds that the empire left you. After some time you have the first fields ploughed and seeded. Even though its not nearly enough to cover the need, the stock will not decrease as fast.

Janissa isn't bad in the list, but your other list might need her more, especially because this one doesn't have an Earthborn. It depends.

I'd consider Fennblades. They're really good with Madrak2. They can easily slice open a heavy and add some much-needed speed to the list.

In general you want stuff with reach, to make the feat hurt as much as possible. And of course because reach is pretty great anyway. I'd say one unit of Warders is enough though. You lose too much by bringing a second. Long Riders might also be nice, but I haven't seen them with Madrak2.
