So it only just hit me how expressive the characters used to be, compared to how they are now.
In the newer seasons they just make the same expressions and only exaggerate to get a laugh.

If anything, the character's have gotten MORE expressive. Yes, that means exaggerating as well. Did you even watch today's episode? Rarity fucking carried it with her emotions and reactions.
Don't let nostalgia skew your view. The animations and expressiveness have only gotten better as the show goes on.
