It kinda reminds me of half orcs that live with orcs, they have to be more reckless, more daring and be a paragon of being orcy to be accepted by other orcs. Usually however that gets them killed nine times out of ten.

Native ones... I guess? They are a half-breed in an otherwise proud race of mostly stubborn and aggressive catbirds, of a race that is sort of on questionable, moot terms with their nation as is. You could consider them an unholy union, almost. Though i can think of exceptions for them having proved their worth.
