Alright, who was the idiot at Ruger who used corrosive .380 to test fire the guns?
Anybody ever get a gun from Ruger that had a pitted/rough bore from the factory? Not sure if this is genuine pitting from corrosion or maybe rough tool marks, but something doesn't look right - there was no orange on the patches, but I don't really see how it could be tool marks. Maybe casting flaws? What do you think? Should I send it back?

Fixed and no.
Contact Ruger. Ruger isn't notorious for QC and quality products in general, but even that is pretty low by Ruger standards. That barrel is horrendous.
Finally bought a gun I've been eyeing for a year and it comes in Tuesday. Anyone have pic related? What's the deal with holsters? I hear it's not quite the P229 or P228 so what works?

I was thinking, isn't Pakistan perhaps the most /k/ country other than the US? They have one of the largest militaries in the world with varied units and equipment, a real assortment of domestic production and American and Chinese weaponry. Civilian gun ownership is widespread and includes handguns, centerfire rifles, etc. Open carry is legal outside of cities. There is a thriving weapons industry, and also there are the legendary backyard "Khyber Pass" gunsmiths

Hippie fuckers won't kill these snakes, and as a result they don't fear humans, this bitch didn't rattle once the entire encounter.
I work about 5 hours away from the nearest hospital, so helicopter is the only option for survival. The catch is, cell service is spotty, and the nearest neighbor is miles away.
That being said, what is the best gun for snake defense? Preferably able to cc, since it's useless if it's in the truck.
What boots will stop a snake bite, but still be comfortable enough to work in?
I guess a .410 revolver? Maybe have better aim, or just wear boots. I would imagine you need to hit the brain to insta-kill, which is probably no bigger than a pea.

the 9x18 is doing its job, the snake couldnt get back to the snake field medics and I doubt he survived. Really the best way to take on snakes is to pin it with a stick and cut its head off with a knife, gotta make sure you get the stick close enough to the head or you got the same problem

Why is it whenever people talk about modernizing battleships, they want to modernize the Iowa when it would make more sense to modernize the North Carolina-class? Today's battleships don't need 30+ knot speed to keep up with CSG. Cheaper NC-class clones are far more practical.

Older brother is a muhreen and personal trainer and has helped a bunch of fatties and skeletons get into shape for service. Two of the guys he trained even made it to the ranger school (however I don't know how they faired...).
