Any TACPs or ALO (Air Liaison Officers) in here? I am interested in becoming an ALO but I havent done AFROTC. Are there OTS slots for ALOs? As in can you apply as a civilian then become an ALO? What is the life of an ALO like? I here they dont get to fight and see action as much as the enlisted TACPs.. bumping with pics.

French is almost worthless and it wouldn't even matter if you were currently fluent. When you reach Defense Language Institute the Army/USMC basically checks whatever language is needed at that moment and what language classes have free spots. I had a friend who has almost fluent in Russian and when he showed up at DLI they went "Thats cute but we need Arabic Translators enjoy learning Arabic".

Hey y'all I'm new to ARs, quick question.
I was out firing a few days ago for the first time, and the first 15 or so rounds were fine, but then it started to stick. Like I'd pull the trigger and it sounded like there was incomplete movement, like something was sticking.
Then I pulled the trigger and the round didn't fire at all. it had a small indent but didnt go anywhere.
I broke it all down and cleaned and lubed the fuck out of it, but i'm a bit worried because I've never had a gun not work on me before.

I live in the south SF bay area and I see thus a lot. Many of them are engineers. You'd be surprised how many of the Apple and Google people are way into guns. They love tinkering. Ars are popular.

There's your problem. You're buying this heavy poorly made tactifool shit. Really, get something from Kelty, Osprey, Deuter, or Lowe Alpine. They have internal frame, hold up for years of use, are lightweight, and they don't stick out.
Rather than a bug out bag I suggest a bug out bicycle or motorcycle. Though it all depends on what your goal is.
