On the off chance this person is an incredibly gifted athlete who just never decided to get off his ass then maybe, but even then probably not.
Those guys have trained for years and many are collegiate level athletes. I have been around some ranger guys and they are animals. Just the way they move looks different from the average fit guy. That is one of the things that you need to be born with.

Probably, it's not that hard to qualify for it desu, some of the operators I know we're average dudes that wanted to challenge themselves, some of them did physical labor their entire lives and were fit that way, others prepped by running, doing calisthenics, and weight lifting. Swimming is great cardio, it will increase your runs as well as your entire upper body strength. But qualifying is only half of it, whether you can handle the training is another thing.
Germanfag reporting in. I wonder if anyone of you /k/-fags can give me some advice. I really dig the 9mm Sig Sauer P226 (like the way it shoots, the trigger, the placement of buttons and stuff, the quality) BUT it's quite expensive. Soo - any similar 9mm you would recommend? Has anyone shot one of the plastic-Sigs in comparison? Thank you kind people of planet /k/.

yes it has a polymer frame but you can literally take the firing mechanism/trigger out, throw away the frame, and get a new one if it cracks.

Got a question though. The main purpose of the gun's gonna be home defense, and hopefully some 3Gun (once I get all the kit), but would like to be able to hunt and shoot clays with it occasionally. With this in mind, do I need to get a model with adjustable chokes, or can I do all that (albeit not as well) with a cylinder bore?

I'd personally go with something with interchangeable chokes. Depending upon hunting alone, what game you decide to go after will greatly affect what type of spread you want, and versatility is always nice.
That being said, I have a question for my the experienced shotgun fags on here. Can I expect to get halfway decent slug groupings if I use a smooth bore barrel with a bead, or is rifling/rifle sights recommended? I don't have much experience with slugs.
Going to buy one of these soon. Plan to bring it on hikes and camping trips.

Looking at a single-stack 9mm for summer CCW. Is the shield still the recommended choice?
I've felt and dryfired it at a lgs, people complain about trigger being terrible but I don't mind it. I couldn't find a glock 43 to compare the shield but is there any other options I should look into before buying?
Between the shield and glock 43 I'm still leaning towards the shield even though I own more glocks. The shield's capacity is higher, the base price is lower, and there's already a lot of aftermarket support for the shield (apex triggers, holsters, sights, etc.)
