I have 3 ar15s. It is getting repetitive. What else should I look into? Scar seems overpriced mil-spec stuff. How about a stg-44 repro or a FAL?

I think most people buy them with the intention of putting a stock on it but they don't want their gun to remain at the store waiting for the paperwork. But you could also build one with a hand if you felt like it.

I'm looking to get my Dad a 1911 for fathers day budget is around 1700. This is going to be shot and not just a safe queen. What does /k/ think ?
Talo Exclusive Colt Combat Unit

>>29738535
Springfield TRP if you can find one for that price point.
Your dad is old, he'll appreciate that it's a Springfield. And the finish is beautiful. And my God the serrations will make it feel to him like this was actually made to shoot like a mofo.
Other options are the slew of really good other-ly brand 1911s such as STI and Wilson Combat, but the manufacturer names won't strike him like a Springfield or Colt will.
Other anon's suggestion of a Colt 1911 is good as well....

and your nerf guns are heavily limited too, right?
you should just let the emus and kangaroos take over at this point.

Aren't those new nerf guns banned too?
/k/, you have been given a crude Oil tanker(any size) with the purpose of arming it and armoring into a makeshift warship. What do you use to armor it? what do you arm it with? What will you use it for? You can modify the structure of it any way you see fit.

A bomb. Masquerade it as a relief aid ship/transport/whatthefuckever. Fill it with the explodey bits of your choosing. Drive it to the blockade or port of highest significance. Boom.
>>29738434
if you can get that much high explosive, I'm impressed.
but yeah, bomb strategy for sure. preferably with a nuke.
or load it with basketball americans and unload it at a shithole of your choosing.

Anything above the surface, sea, land, or air, gets missile spam. Anything below the surface gets torpedoes. Come at me, bro.

Arsenal/Saiga > 1000 SKS
It's worth it if you have a bunch of people that need guns. Getting a crate delivered to an FFL in the hood probably puts you on a watch list.
Old one's dead, new thread.
I'm looking to spruce up my ruger 10/22
I want to take it out further and shoot tighter groups.
My scope rail only came with two screws. It's wobbly as shit
So,
>new stock
>new barrel
>new scope rail
>new scope? Would like something better than the barska
>>29738255
if you're gonna rebuild it, get a trigger group as well. most of them just require you to pop the pins out of the stock one and drop theirs in.
also, look at an extended charging handle depending on the stock so you can charge it easily.
same goes for a magazine release.
Alot of people seem to not like bx25 mags. Mine has never given me a problem
>>29738281
I don't actually have a problem with the current trigger. It's a bit mushy, but it's a short reset. The stock trigger is leagues ahead of an ar15 milspec at least.

Hey /k/ I want a good, but inexpensive semiauto carry gun. I was bumbling around on the internet and discovered that one could purchase a 1911 clone called the
ATI FX45 1911 MILITARY M1911 FX 45 ACP 45ACP for shy under $400
is this a good gun?
Any recommendations?
is the 1911 a meme gun?

These are much better, and the price is amazing. Get a Hi Power and you wont regret it.

Hey /k/, I was wondering if there were any Kentucky fags (or citizens of any state with the same laws) who could help me with the state law. Wikipedia says that Kentucky is basically the most lax in every category except for...it says "Shall Certify", "Shall certify within 15 days"
What does this mean?
A friend of mine, her ex husband recently died and what little family he had weren't close and they live in South Carolina. His brother, however, lives here. When he died, the gun kind of just ended up in his brothers possession when he was...

I've been considering buying the MDR, but with bullpups it seems to be a hit or miss. Does anyone have any experience with this rifle? comes in 5.56 and .308 it seems, with a .300 blackout conversion kit that you can buy.

Just got my first handgun last week, a 9mm M88A, for $250.00. It's a nice compact. What are some of the service pistols /k/ wants/has?
>>29737783
I can't hit shit with mine dawg. Trigger is like 10lbs
>>29737783
I'd buy a first gen glock in .40 s&w. The earlier glocks are known for their reliability. Now since we're talking about the protection of your family you need to be sure you have the most stopping power. You can buy hot loaded ammo in .40 that works perfect with the gen 1 glocks. The hot loads will give you more stopping power. Make sure you practice a lot with the hot ammo so you can get a good feel for it.
>>29737810
I was hitting a phone book at about 50 feet somewhat reliably. Only missed about twice once I got a feel for it, but yeah, trigger pull pretty heavy.
What is it like being a civilian with a gf/wife in the Military?
>>29737701
Living with the knowledge that if she ever deploys she'll be the company cumbucket for the duration if she's not already practicing for the role now.
>>29737701
Wouldn't know from first hand experience, but a buddy of mine had a military wife. I envied him every moment I was enlisted. He'd often do things to look like a shit bag marine, and then when some salty ass SNCO would go to chew him out, he'd whip out his civilian ID.
No idea, my gf actually made good choices in life and is being published for her science research.
My guess is that it would suck. At best you get limited communication with them, have to move if they get moved, and if they get deployed you get to worry about their safety.
At worst you get all that, plus she's the cum dumpster for her company, and comes back either crippled or with PTSD.
