I have come to the conclusion that the only way to incapacitate a person that is convinced on killing me is a shot to the spine or head. Ignoring the "I've been shot" factor, I have been training for a few months now with a spine drawn on to my silhouette targets. My ultimate fear is that I shoot somebody that's charging me and they don't stop. I must train.

Got talking to this old guy who looked like he was in his forties at the pub. After talking about random stuff he asked what I did and I told him I'm a labourer but was thinking of trying to join the army as an officer. He then started telling me a lot about the army and it transpired he's actually ex-SAS and helped train some of the SEALs that kiled Osama Bin Laden. So I asked him some questions about being an officer in the army, personal gun ownership ect, he said he has a section 5 license and can get anything he wants within reason is this legit? Also one thing he said is that although officers get paid more they have way less fun and don't have as strong a bond with the lads is this true?

It's 5.56 out of a 17.5" barrel, which will both rekt'd soft tissue and not overpenetrate as much as many pistol/shotgun loads.
30 rounds that aren't anemic pistol caliber with the recoil of a 10/22
Can easily be handled and fired with one hand.

Literally a non-concern. Both guns use the same recoil spring in any case.
So /k/, thoughts on what should and shouldn't be legal? Should citizens have access to the most powerful weapons they can actually afford or should some weapons honestly be restricted?
I think fully automatic weapons should be legal but not mortars and other heavy ordinance.

What are some of the best/craziest examples of a military using the landscape or non-military infrastructure to fight?
