Well, the day finally came. I completed my Samurai Edge project. In honor of this glorious day, post your custom guns (or custom guns in general).
I'll post what few pictures I have of this one. Hopefully conditions are a bit better tomorrow and I can get some better shots.

My main host will by my 1911, with secondary use on a VZ-61 SBR
I've been considering the AAC TI-RANT .45 because it is hearing safe when dry. The Osprey is as well but I personally find it ugly. I only really want to buy one can for pistols, so .45 seems the way to go.
The TI-RANT would run me $804 all said and done; way better than a few years ago when I was looking and the can alone was $800.
The other options (in stock) that I am looking at are the Silencerco Octane 45HD and the YHM SIDEWINDER. I haven't been able to find a whole lot of comparisons between them so I suppose my question is which suppressor would you guys recommend?

I have a ti-rant .45 I really like everything about it other than the finish on the outside. it scratches a little too easy for my liking. but I got mine almost 6 years ago now so they might of changed the outer finish. AMA I also have a vid of the sound comparison

it probably has about 15-20k rounds through it cans don't really wear out unless you have a baffle strike.

it is a noticeable weight on the end of the gun. with an empty mag it will drag the front of the gun down. with a loaded mag it balances rather well

1.) Go to a gunstore
2.) Ask them if they accept online transfers and what their requirements and fees are for said item. Then get the FFL information from them or ask them to fax it to the online store.
3.) If it's okay, go home and order it online. Most online gun retailers have tons of FFL's already logged so you may not even need the gunstore to fax their information.

I heard during the peak of the war in Afghanistan the life expectancy of a tier 1 operator was less than 24 hours.
I had a friend in the military who could have gone to Ranger school around the time the Iraq War was in full swing. Told me that he was told rangers had a super short life expectancy once they hit the ground. That can't be true though, r-right?

Proportionally, higher than line units, but overall numbers are probably a lot less as is in line with their total size.
Rough guesstimate would be 10% WIA and 1-2% KIA. Though I don't know if something like all those SEALs dying in the Chinook tanked the numbers.
