M48 Mauser with matching parts, non matching bayonet sling and pouch for 280$ how'd I do?

Looks pretty clean, the butt plates a bit dinged but otherwise in great shape.
Unpopular opinion: I like the Mauser action better than the lee enfields

You did really good OP! I love my m48 also. To be honest, after getting a Lee Enfield, I think the mauser is better. That's why I'm selling the Enfield.

Fingerfucked a Sig p320 today. Any of you guys own one? Other Suggestions?
Used my friend's p320 to qualify for my ltc license and a couple more times after that. Its chambered in .357sig.
Its a great shooting striker-fired pistol. The trigger is incredibly more smoother than a glock trigger. It has quite the take-up but the break is crisp. You can feel the reset with a definite 'click' to reassure you it is ready to fire again. No failures of any kind. Good stock sights. It is impressively precise.
I expected the recoil to be strong but was pleasantly surprised that it is very time, all things considering.
I liked it a lot for what it is. A good polymer striker-fired pistol.

In a limited nuclear exchange scenario, why did the emphasis shift from mass destruction to removing the enemy's capability to strike? Over and over, I hear about how important it became to accurately guide nuclear ICBM's towards their Russian counterparts, in order to reduce the Russian capabilities. But why not just strap a kinetic warhead on that thing and basically turn the missile into a bunker buster? Why would they need to expend nuclear weapons just to destroy what are basically just hardened bunkers?

If you're using an entire ICBM delivery system you might as well put a nuclear warhead on it to further insure the destruction of the target.
Also, equipping an ICBM with MIRVs gives it versatility.
Another question, how do you know if an ICBM is a bunker buster aimed at your silo or a MIRV capable one targeting your cities?
You don't.
Because a fission explosion will melt whatever is near it including a hardened bunker, negating the need to penetrate earth before explosion.
Because if you are launching nukes and already have a shitload of them, it is cheaper and more effective than developing bunker busters.
Only reason bunker busters are a thing is because nuking places is only acceptable sometimes not all the time.

Well i'm thinking within the scope of how dangerous a "limited" or "theater" exchange of nuclear weapons is. If your objective is to remove the enemy's capability to strike, or at least deter it, why would you shoehorn such a comically overpowered weapon into the role of a glorified bunker buster, especially when the use of such a weapon is basically a warrant for all out war, nuclear or otherwise?

/k/, I was thinking about my next gun purchase and I was curious for your guys’ input. I just got into guns, and it seems like the market is kind of in an lull right now, so it strikes me as the time to expand my collection, before things get really crazy as we near the election.
My question is whether I should get at an AK pattern rifle like a WASR or a "compact" 9mm like a Glock 19?
My admittedly small collection entails:
Savage Model 6B
Mossberg 500
M&P 15
I really love rifles, but I also think everyone should own a pistol as well. Just wondering what you guys think. This wouldn't be a problem if I could get both, but I'm on a budget and I also think with the way politics are in my state it could be very difficult to buy weapons in 6-8 months, so it may be a case of one or the other.

Get the Glock then you will have all your bases covered for a basic gun setup. You have a .22, a 12 gauge and a semi-auto rifle, all you lack is the pistol.

other than that it's someone shouting "i fuckin got two of those fuckers" while 14 people also helped fill a brush filled ditch with gunfire and grenades at 5am in complete darkness and check for bodies in the morning and find some brass and no bodies
