Is conscription a good idea?
Some argue that it:

Anyway. Im shipping in June as a 35G. If I can recall, I get to make a list of bases I want to be stationed at after AIT. I know it doesn't mean much as far as if I'll get them or not. But what bases would anyone recommend? Id love to go to AK but Ive heard a lot of negative things about the actual base there. Well famalam i was there. We use speer gold dot and its replaced every 6 months. Engagement range was 15 feet.
If I wanted a traditional-sailor rate when I join the Navy reserve what is best: Gunners Mate, Quartermaster, or Boatswains Mate?
I was an infantry Marine and then a PMC so I understand what I am getting into, so no 'don't do it, yada yada, life sucks, etc.'. I'm not new to any of this.
I am not doing it for a job or anything; I am doing it to do sailor-related activities, hence the rates I listed. I understand that they are all considered 'shitty' for the most part.
Join the Coast Guard. Navy isn't big on traditional sailor shit anymore.

I've always have been a sporty guy, i've never been overweight and shit but my problem is that I am waaaaaaay too short (165-67 cm), basically a fucking manlet. I thought that was because the US was using .308 while everyone else was using more capable rounds (.300 win mag and such) resulting in the US loosing despite "better" tradecraft.

It's possible but you'd have to construct a new dry dock the size of Manhattan to build it. Cranes to move the shit would probably need some material advances as well.
