I've recently taken steps to join Peshmerga in the fight against isis, are there any vets or weapons experts on here that could help me out with my training? I've never served or shot a gun before. Just looking to learn the basics before I head over.

Its a good thing this is so blatantly fake, because if it were real it would be really sad.
The biggest question you need to answer is- why?
Just vote for Trump. He'll bomb the shit out of them, torture them, kill their families, and take their oil.
Hey /k/ can anyone help me identify what this is?

Why don't you give us a full picture? It almost looks like a countersink/deburring tool but it's awfully narrow.
>>30013140
could be a hand awl, for drilling holes in wood. is the plane surface sharp?
Haven't been to /k/ in years. Do we still do gear?
I'm looking to buy a new IWB holster, and I've heard good things about Alien Gear. MTAC and Crossbreed used to be the top of the crop last time I looked, but Alien gear looks unbeatable in price (though that's also possibly a worry).
Pic related is an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3
What does /k/ think? Preferably from people that have actually used one.
Otherwise, holster recommendations in general. Go.
>>30013086
alien gear falls apart fast.
I like MTG

>I'm looking to buy a new IWB holster, and I've heard good things about Alien Gear
So you are implying you already have/had IWB holster(s), and are looking to buy a new one, and are looking at Aliengear of all things? A brand that anyone who has ever actually carried a gun and used a holster is shit, even for babby's first carry rig.

Is the HMS Queen Elizabeth better than the Charles De Gaulle ?
>>30013067
An Iowa is better than that thing.
>>30013067
Nope. The De Gaulle is CATOBAR which makes it automatically better.

>tfw diagnosed Ammo Compulsive Disorder
On the bright side, my ACD has lead me to the discovery that .50cal ammo cans can hold 1575 rounds of .223 if stacked like pic related, 3 layers of 525

This little clip has helped me through a lot of hard times.
It always soothes me when I feel the need to start organizing things.
I'm looking at picking up a full cartridge battle rifle in the near future. I'm looking at the nork m305 and svt-40.
I would love to hear from people who have owned/used one or both.
Will mostly be used at the range. Concerns are availability of ammo, ease of maintinence, reliability, accuracy, and usability/ergonomics.
And yes, I live in Cucknadia and only have my PAL.
>nork
>>30012987
Norinco. It's a chinese company that sells a lot of cheap stuff in Canada. The m305 is basically a clone of the m14 for $600-$700
I've been debating this same question. I'd go for the m305b because there is an established market for parts here and it's a newer design so it can feed reliably from magazines other than the one it left the factory with.
Post your shiny shimmering angelic imbued firearms :-*
neither pics for mine, but got a Marlin 60SS. With silver rings, and matte silver Bushnell. Holds a shittton of .22s in the tube. Very narrow fore end.

Oh no's Anon kuhn :'(((
I fell for this meme.
Yeah, a 1600 USD meme. You could've bought an AUG for that money, a gun thats nearly 3x better.
Good job, faggot.
>>30012753
>tfw paid $1800 almost 2 years ago
I must say you're wrong though; the AUG is absolute shit.
I have an Endura 4 I bought a few days ago and I can't flick it open, I have to like manually open the knife. There is a lot of resistance especially for the first 50% of the open. I loosened the pivot screw but it didn't do anything.
Anyone know what i can do to loosen it up so I can flick it? I know I need to break it in but there is still a lot of resistance.
People on youtube can flick theirs easily

>>30012596
I got rid of my endura. Had it less than a month, was thoroughly disappointed.
>even after lube and cleaning, the pivot is still shit
>blade is uncentered, pivot makes it worse
>pivot unscrews itself after a few openings, shouldn't have to be constantly looking out for this or even have to break out the loctite for a new knife of this "level".
>noticeable side to blade...

Spray pivot with brake cleaner to remove excess oil
Work it a few hundred times a night while watching TV or shitposting on /k/
Oil it up after a few days.
>>30012648
Every knife eeds loctote applied and you are probably too dumb to adjust the pivots.
ITT we improve a gun manufacturer
>remake DA/SA hammer fired handguns
>P38, P88, P5, etc.
>revamp the WA2000 in .308, 7.5 Swiss, 6.5 Creedmore, and .300 WinMag. for around the $2k mark
>focus more on long gun production; G43 and MPL need not apply
>focus on public and law enforcement sales in the United States
>actually make PPK's more than two runs a year
>>30012580
or buy glocks
>>30012618
GLOCK
>make a gun with a hammer
>no make it out of metal
>add a safety
PERFECTION
>>30012580
They should also make an all metal handgun that isn't the ppk. To much polymer in the market atm.
What went wrong, /k/?

Tank, I guess

It killed all the communists and then there were none left so it had to retire.
Sound concept.
Horrific technical problems.
Also, if you're relying on ATGMs as your anti-armor, you may as well just use an armored personnel carrier.
What is it about artillery that makes it "the god of war"?
>>30012397
It's good at killing people
Much kill from far away
>doesn't require you to expose yourself directly to the enemy to kill them
>pulling a lanyard is psychologically easier than shooting someone, so more people do it (this doesn't matter as much now with modern training regimens)
>cheap and simple way to bring death to a given geographical area
new pc, old laptop shit the bed and i lost all of my infographs, any pdfs and images appreciated, ill dump what i have
What is /k/'s opinion on kinetic bombardment? Weaponizing space is illegal for sure, but kinetic weaponary happens to find a loophole in this law. Although it is estimated to be extremely inaccurate, do you think the introduction of kinetic bombardment in warfare would be more devestating than nuclear weapons? Why or why not? I'd love to hear /k/'s thoughts on this...
>>30012235
my personal rule of thumb is that if something can kill more than 100 people in one shot, it is not something that people should be playing with
lets try and leave at least this one civilisation-threatening doomsday device alone, yes?
NASA actually ran the math, and it's no more effective than conventional explosives.
Thank air resistance.
>>30012235
sorry to be the most illiterate retard in this thread but what exactly can I picture as "kinetic bombardement"
I mean, I get what kinetic means and shit, but how does that stuff work? Magnets?
Fellas, I'm an 11b deploying to Afghanistan in about a week. I've got all my things squared away and have a good idea of what I'll need from other guys who have been, but I've never been deployed before and I've never been shot at. The prospect of it doesn't bother me, but I'm not sure how I'll react under fire. I fee like I'll be fine, it even excites me a little bit, but perception is often different than reality. Any other vets on /k/ that have any insight or tips to mentally prepare?
>>30012225
Yes, play airsoft a lot (reaction under fire +5)
And video games like Insurgency (tactics +10) and Amnesia (fear management +20)
Also, shoot yourself with increasingly large bullets starting with .22LR to build an immunity
>>30012225
Look man, just breath and remember that you're fighting the result of our (the US) countries invasion of a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 or any other violation of, well, anything.
Trust me, I'm a Gunner's Mate in the Navy.
