Canada's police become unarmed.
Canada's military is reduced entirely to SWAT levels of equipment. No tanks, jets, bombers, warships, etc.

What would happen?

Ignoring domestic weapons manufacturers blowing their shit, and NATO blowing their shit that its going to be a bit harder to arm or destroy some countries far off.

Let's end this retarded argument once and for all.
Is the Zumwalt good?
Does the stealth-ness make any difference since it's a giant ship?
How does it compete with the latest arlighe-burke 1v1
How does it defend itself again Russia and china?

>Is the Zumwalt good?
It's a decent piece of wooden shipbuilding. A worthy successor of USS Constitution.
>>

>Is the Zumwalt good?

Yes.

>Does the stealth-ness make any difference since it's a giant ship?

When it has a RCS of a fishing boat, yes.

>How does it compete with the latest arlighe-burke 1v1

Arleigh Burke.

And a false comparison, they perform different roles.

>How does it defend itself again Russia and china?

The same way any ship in the USN does.

>The ship design includes an upper-section deckhouse (superstructure) constructed with panels and beams made of carbon fiber/vinyl ester skins and balsa and/or foam cores.

>Joe Pantalone, Alcan Baltek’s market manager, reports that Navy engineers selected balsa core because they learned early in their evaluation of composite materials that “the mechanical properties of balsa as a core material compared to its cost are significantly better than any other material.” Pantalone likens balsa, with its cellular structure of cellulose fiber in a lignin matrix, to the fiber/resin makeup of a composite. He reports that Navy tests showed that a balsa-core sandwich contained fire spread better than those cored with foam or honeycomb. “Balsa doesn’t burn very well at all,” says Pantalone. “Rather, it chars slowly. So it does a better job of insulating the opposite-side skin, unlike foam, which softens and transfers heat more readily.” Unlike honeycomb core, wood cells are terminal or closed in the thickness direction, he adds, so balsa requires no intermediate barrier material to prevent ingress of resin during infusion, keeping cost down and ensuring that the balsa core retains its low weight.

I'm assuming some of you are old enough to have lived through the 1994 AWB. What was it like? Was there an actual huge difference during that ten year period? Older fags, get in here. Tell us your stories.

Gang violence was a huge problem, and since gangs didn't typically use rifle, the AWB had zero impact. The Columbine massacre also happened during the AWB.
>>
>>30152717

the 1911 was hugely popular since it had a sub-10 round capacity. everybody was making compact 1911s. people pinned fixed stocks and sawed off bayonet lugs and pinned brakes. magazines were stupid expensive.

Berry pickers head thin like leaf of bitter tree they eat.

Berry picker talk from stink hole.

Evening, /k/omrades.

I'm virtually brand new to weapons and I'm in the market for a good self-defense knife. Bonus points for extra utility. This is my go-to because it looks sick and will definitely fuck someone up, doesn't seem to have much utility though.

What do you think? Any recommendations? What do you use?

I CCW everywhere that I am allowed to and have since I turned 21.

A question that I have is that the company I work for says that 'employees cannot carry weapons of any kind etc etc.' But customers can.

Is there any legal weight to that? Meaning is it a crime to conceal carry a sidearm/knife on employers property after they've told you not to. They also say that you are not allowed to secure your firearm in your vehicle. I do it anyway, and will continue to do it... but for the sake of conversation is that illegal? It seems to me according to the law I am doing nothing wrong. I don't see how a companies policy can supersede that.

Of course this is not really a big problem, since they would have no way of knowing I CCW.

To be fair the facility is rather secure, but I am more worried about leaving at night and being unarmed.

I was just curious if anyone else has had this issue?

Yeah it's called being a fucking thug, just carry your shit with you. What is your boss gonna do? Stab you?
>>
>>30152256
im assuming its just their policy towards employees then, to prevent joe from snapping one day and offing everyone in the office then blowing his brains out. If you are discovered you will likely be terminated, and may not recieve severance. In the event you use your ccw in a legit legal defense, you will still likely e terminated without severance, but wont be in legal shit for carrying. This is just my opinion on the rule, since customers are allowed to carry.
>>
>>30152256
Carry anyways. Is your job worth more than your life?

So, it's pretty much universally agreed that the SPAS-12 is one of the sexiest goddamn shotguns ever created. With that in mind, I was wondering, how come more shotguns don't have pistol grips? Is there a reason beyond just looks? And I don't mean purely a pistol grip. I mean, a stock you can jam into your shoulder for stability AND a pistol grip.

This. Combat shotguns are more effective sans pistol grip typically.

Are pre-1950 foreign firearms with military insignias on them legal to own? Pic unrelated.

Does it have a "sporting purpose" according to the pricks at the ATF?

If so, it's legal to import.

If it's already here, and it isn't NFA, it's legal.

So I'm getting my first .22 rifle (up until now I've only shot 30-06 and 12 gauge, but I've occasionally shot a .22) and I know if I got a Ruger id dress it up like an ar, so why not just get a mossberg 715t?
